What do we think of friends and relationships we make online...

I personally admire some pple in here and am loathe to upset or hurt anyone feelings- If I do I try to apolagise immediately.


BUT there are some ppl who come onto a forum and think 'what the he-ll, its only a forum full of weirdos, Ill just have a bit of fun with them' This usually means flaming certain pple and saying hurtful things to elicit a response..which ensues in a flaming war.

I dont buy into this theory.

Behind a keyboard is a real person..and the things said to pple online we WOULD NEVER say to theyre faces. This is a cyber world and a lot of pple can be bigger and braver and meaner because anonmyity gives them protection.

..People are people..

I have not set this thread up to begin a flame war IQ..I am trying to diffuse a situation..Its good you feel its worth patricipating in however.

This thread exists so that anyone who is upset with flaming since your arrival can express a veiw or opinion, because it effects them too.

Oceans - you are supported by most of the posters here - including myself.  Unfortunately everytime a nasty, foul mouthed poster comes onto a forum to attack, it lowers the whole standard.

You are the better person, so don't let coarse, crude insults get to you.  Hopefully the moderator of this forum will pick up on it shortly.

I knew something was up with her 'suddenly' being noice to me in a very 'personal' way.
I played along, but stayed 'cautious'...
...then she tried to coerce Setanta just last week with 'flirtation' and Set pinged her straight away and out of his way.  ;D

So be careful. She is known to easily 'pussy-whip' VIC and FD to get what she wants with her 'swan dive' victimhood of being oppressed, bullied and more.

Personally, I just don't think she has what it takes to 'deal with anyone' here really. I think she has had many 'issues' over the years in her personal life. I don't despise her in any way, like I would that evil Mothra. But I find it really hard to feel 'impressed' with her actions.

Hell, when I did my one and only 'sock' that was Vulcan to find out why the 'fighting here at Ozpol' between the two PA Forums.
Reading posts by Agnes & Bobby complaining about the 'invasion' here of the Monksters from their PA Forum.

To hold something against someone for what they did 15, 20 years ago or so, is a bit like holding a grudge. How can we expect anyone to improve, or prove themselves if we do that?
It also depends on who or the types that around you at the time.
Some people bring out the worst in us, some alleviate the low vibes and uplift.
We react accordingly. There’s always room for improvement.
One thing a retired school teacher friend told me they taught school kids…GOMO.
Get over it and move on.
If it’s good enough for school kids, it’s good enough for adults too.
