Title: Online Relationships..
Post by oceansblue on Jul 8th, 2007 at 6:35pm
Are they real?

Has the internet made it easier for people looking for relationships to find them?

Can they work?

Is an online relationship a good way too meet someone?

Thoughts?

I met my partner online. It gives you a long time and lots of space to get to know each other and share things which you might find it harder to share in person.  We were talking about three years before we met.

Was that an online dating site Connie.

I saw a drop dead gorgeous guy in one of these sites..he was a player it was obvious. I went in there to have a look, curiosity. You wouldnt believe the 'talent' in there. Dont know if they are all real but we can dream.

If I were looking for a husband it would  be an economical and easy way to do it. I guess, but im too busy right now, doing posts into ozpolitics and brushing my teeth and stuff. 'Sides I dont like to share my bed and i like to walk around the house in a carefree fashion..so to speak..we cant do this with a randy guy in the background panting and being all salivious and weird :D

Anyway. It's good that you've posted your pic. People who post their pic are usually very honest people with self-confidence. Nice work mate.  [smiley=thumbup.gif]

Title: Virtual friends 'beats real socialising'
Post by freediver on Jul 20th, 2007 at 3:37pm
http://www.smh.com.au/news/World/Virtual-friends-beats-real-socialising/2007/07/20/1184559996427.html

Hardcore broadband users in Britain spend more time on virtual networking than they do on real life socialising, a survey revealed.

Some six per cent of the 10,500 broadband users questioned in the survey, admitted spending on average more than 10 hours a week online social networking, the equivalent of 24 days a year.

This compared with the 22 days spent actually meeting friends and relatives.

Women use social networking sites more than men, 56 per cent compared to 46 per cent.

Nearly 75 per cent of those visiting social networking sites are aged between 18 and 29 years.

The average Briton spends 15.8 hours a week online, the equivalent to 34 days a year.

No.  She announced only a month or so ago here, that she was "getting married."  (That too is bullshit.)  The Frogen thing was many many many months (more than a year) ago.

Frogen has been howling at the Moon for all the years I have known him on Forums.  I have no doubt he got sucked in by the overt online temptations of what he thought was the red haired highly desirable Agnes of great beauty, but not even his cat, Henry Gonzales, could live with him in peace although Henry was well aware of where his next feed came from.  Bits of the nose of Frogen were never going to be enough for Henry.
