Uranium tests kept secret, inquiry hears CENTRAL MIDLANS AND COASTAL ADVOCATE ALEXANDRA SMITH 4/07/2008 -"A MAN whose parents died of cancer after living near a former uranium smelter at Hunters Hill told a parliamentary inquiry yesterday the NSW Department of Health had tried to cover up results of radioactivity tests.

Sounds like a conspiracy. That stuff doesn't just disappear. It would be a simple matter to prove it, if it were true.

You can never prove the cause of an individual cancer. All you ever end up with is a probability. But if they left radioactive material lying around the place, that would be sufficient to make some kind of case. The point is that covering up radioactivity tests would be like trying to tell people there isn't an elephant in the room.
