Well, if this little "microworld" on this forum is any indication of the wider community and issues with Islam and Australia, then I would have to say yes, Islam is bad for Australia. The conflict between Muslims and non-Muslims due to differing belief systems seems highly unworkable.

On principle I think all religion is bad for all people, but I accept that I don't get to make that decision for them.

Unfortunately, we do not see the same degree of respect emanating from religions, which demand, and receive, special consideration for their erroneous personal beliefs, seeking to influence what we can do, watch, think, marry, etc.

As Islam, in it's present state, is largely influenced by extremist fundamentalism, it is about as dangerous a threat as any religion can be, and therefore warrants special consideration, along with the more extreme fundamentalist christian cults.

to radicalise any of our youth.    However, having said that, I also believe
that the wearing of traditional Muslim female clothing should be banned;
the burqa, hijab, niqab, or chador.  There's no place in a secular society
for this type of confrontational dress.
