I wondered if anyone would notice.

Freediver asked me to be mod of the site for a wee while.
I guess he is busy. He'll be back.

Sorry, I got no idea how to get rid of that box under your post space.

It seems that everytime I travel overseas something interesting happens while I'm away. Yeah, I've noticed that as well.

Did you get a pay rise with your promotion? Did you ask for a company car?

This could be a good opportunity to wreck the place while FD's away and Sprint's in charge.

;)

Hahahaha.  Where is everyone?  This is a sign that FD is holding this place together - or maybe there are too many forums.

Some of them aren't being used and should be deleted.  Deserted forums are a waste of cyber space.

Comparatively speaking you couldnt say that this place is any

less used than say PA2 (in fact it us used an awful lot

more)...where DT makes up 80 % of posts most of them on his

Pat Malone and God know how many handles he currently has

in use as well....

Yes he is coming up to 5300 now. Party time.Wooo Hooo.

What is the definer of  forum success..knocking up a few posts

really quickly...esp when most of them are your own?

The mans an idiot .DT that is...

he did not tell me how long he would be.

I guess he will be a wee while longer :-)

Without freediver here is a ship without a rudder !!

Yes I do Oceanz - I don't remember saying otherwise.  FD does run the fairest and most accommodating forum that I've ever been on.  If you're wondering about my comments on another forum - it was a reference to the political side and the fact that I've learnt a small and unpleasant lesson in the last week or so.  I no longer want to burn all my bridges.

Ok so I know I mostly lurk, so I'm not up with who's who and what's what.... but why does it matter that this guy is away? And what he's doing?

Well if he was only going to be away a short time, it wouldn't be necessary to appoint a global moderator? Therefore he must be somewhere without internet or busy with work for some reason? Haven't invented underwater internet yet, maybe he is "Freediving"? Or maybe he is climbing a pyramid in Egypt, or hiking in South America?

mantra - I could not imagine you banned from any forum.
They have it wrong.

mmadeline - welcome. freediver made this site and normally runs it.
I'm just the caretaker moderator.

He did not tell me where he was going, or how long he would be.
I am under the assumption he will not be too long

A forum owner doesn't have to answer to anyone.  He/she doesn't have to be fair and he/she doesn't have to be nice.  It's a bonus if they are of course.

Not surprising really when you notice that most forums thrive on ignorance, anger and ego.

May FD jumped ship indefinitely and left you holding your... uh, steering wheel.  ;)

Maybe, FD is really Sprint. He's sick of maintaining a dual personality and has decided to ditch one. LOL.  ;)

Or maybe, FD is really Acid Monkey. It could be no coincidence that FD is missing for no-one-knows-how-long and Acid is taking a 1,2 or 3 years leave of absence. Hey, wait! That's me.  ;)

Hi oceanZ.

I've got the stuff on the bottom of my post space too for now.
It is in the signature.
To get rid of it go to your profile->options and delete empty lines from your signature.
I'll get rid from mine after you read this post.

I'm back. I'm still a bit busy. I'll look into the blank lines in signatures when I get more time.

I had my "the stuff on the bottom" just as an example and now I got rid of it as I'd promised.

You still have 15 empty lines in your signature that's why there is still so much space on the bottom past the signature line.

Hi, FD.
I thought you went Harold Holt's way in a Yellow Submarine.

just kidding :)
