Title: ARE THERE SPIRITS IN YOUR HEART?
Post by Yadda on Oct 27th, 2008 at 10:42am
Is there someone in your heart?

Heart transplant recipients, after they recover, have often reported having new interests and 'tastes'.
In many cases the donors family, have later confirmed that those particular new interests and 'tastes', belonged to the heart donor.

Some Heart Recipients Report Strange Changes
9 March 2005
.....For most of her life, the young woman hated sports.
And though she was born and raised in Tucson, she never liked Mexican food. She craved Italian and was a pasta junkie.
But three years ago, all that changed for Jaime Sherman, 28, when she underwent a heart transplant at University Medical Center, after battling a heart defect since birth.
"Now I love football, baseball, basketball. You name it, I follow it," said Sherman, a psychology student at Arizona State University. "And Mexican food is by far my favorite."
.....That's when she learned 29-year-old Scott Phillips.....was a sports fan who loved Mexican food. He played on several teams at Kansas State University and followed college and pro sports.
Sherman's metamorphosis from nonfan to superfan occurred well before she knew anything about her donor, though her obsession with Kansas State began after she met his family.
....Well aware of the speculation that traits can transfer from organ donor to recipient, Sherman accepts the concept.

Changes in heart transplant recipients that parallel the personalities of their donors
.....Objective: To evaluate whether changes following heart transplant surgery parallel the history of the donors.
.....Main Outcome Measures: Transcripts of audio taped interviews quoted verbatim.
Results: Two to 5 parallels per case were observed between changes following surgery and the histories of the donors. Parallels included changes in food, music, art, sexual, recreational, and career preferences, as well as specific instances of perceptions of names and sensory experiences related to the donors.

There is a 'brain' in the heart...
Medical scientists back in the 1970's discovered there are small clusters of neural cells ['brain' cells], in the heart.

John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25  The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26  Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

1 Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

+++++

Many, many ppl [in this life] are not 'searching' [for TRUTH], and have no perception that we [i.e. our earthen bodies] are the 'hosts' of [all] those spirits, which we 'allow', and welcome.

Perhaps you are aware, that there is a name attributed to God, throughout the Old Testament, it is the 'LORD of hosts'.
....a search of the KJV bible results in 245 hits for that phrase, the 'LORD of hosts'.

Our God [not evolution] is the creator of your earthen body, which is a 'host' for spirit[s].

And we ourselves, are the gatekeepers of our souls.

It is we who choose which spirits, we allow into our hearts.

Why is this so difficult to comprehend?

Well, the material world is apparent to all.
.....but the spirit world is not apparent to the material world.

The Preacher speaks here, of the days of men's lives...

Ecclesiastes 3:10
I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11  He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12  I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.

Because you cannot comprehend, or touch something, does that make it non-existent?

Many scientists today, would logically say, Yes.

Traditionally, all those who love and seek God, hope for a new home called 'heaven', when this life ends.

Isn't that just more religious rubbish??

Are these merely faerie tales???

You choose.

Here is a challenge,

Let your heart tell you, if that is the TRUTH.

:)

John 3:6
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

MORE QUESTIONS.....

Where is 'heaven'?

Where is the 'promised land' [spoken of throughout the Bible]?

Where is the 'redemption' of the children of Israel [spoken of throughout the Old Testament]?
[whose journey through the wilderness, on their way to the 'promised land', is an analogy, or a parable [for our lives], to all mankind.]
[the word 'Israel' means, a prince with God. i.e. accepted of God.]

Matthew 13:10
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11  He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12  For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13  Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14  And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15  For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Many ppl today see only this material world, and have no perception of a spirit world.

And likewise, the children of this material world, cannot comprehend 'where', or what 'heaven' is.
....the children of this world, do not seek God, because, they love this world.

They cannot understand, that 'heaven', is to be in the very presence of God.

That is where heaven 'is', 'heaven' is to be in the very presence of God.
....and outside of his presence, is darkness.

1 John 1:5
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, THAT GOD IS LIGHT, and in him is no darkness at all.
6  If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

Acts 17:27
That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28  For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Hebrews 12:9
Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

Of [spiritual] children and parents.....

Galatians 4:1-7
http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?t=KJV&x=0&y=0&b=Gal&c=4&v=1

I have come to see the bible as a book full of HIDDEN-IN-PLAIN-SIGHT parables, which explore man's condition, and which explain his relationship with God.

Jeremiah 17:10
I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

If you want to find God, then God's advice [within the Bible] is very simple.

Seek him.

....i.e. read the Bible, and pray to him.

Deuteronomy 4:29
Psalms 119:2
Jeremiah 29:13
Romans 3:11
Acts 17:27

The Bible contains a deep matrix of information [which most men do not have the patience to uncover, and explore].
....the deeper you study it [by just simple reading], the more it will reveal to your heart, about the nature of our God.

But that requirement [a need for some dedication], is a simple and natural filter, against those who hate God.
....[and men, think that *they* are clever!]

;D

Proverbs 8:17
Psalms 25:14
John 5:39

We walk this earth today, and many men scoff,
...that, 'God' does not reveal himself.

And yet in our journey here, so few of us consider the question,
....*Who* is it, that *is* being revealed???

2 Peter 3:3
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4  And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

John 14:15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
.....21  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Psalms 25:12
What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

Psalms 5:4
For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

Psalms 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

There was a cop show something "blue" I think.

The sergeant had a great line on organ donation.

"When someone donates an organ to another person it is not just one persons liver, kidney or heart working to keep another entire person alive - their brain, arms, legs, eyes, ears, feet and fingers.
It is also the other person entire being, their brain, arms, legs, eyes, ears, feet and fingers all working to keep your single liver, kidney or heart alive."

The way people conduct their lives has almost nothing to do with their stated religion. If you don't believe that. maybe you need to get out more.

Well.

I seem to have pressed somebody's button.

::)

Isn't our 'philosophy', our way of life?

And are not these things, our beliefs, our 'reality', our TRUTH, our 'religion'?

So you may wish to deny it.

But our lifestyle and our values, confirm our 'reality', and our 'religion'.

Dictionary....

religion = =
1 the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. a particular system of faith and worship.
2 a pursuit or interest followed with devotion.

Our entire western world view has been afftected by religion through history. That goes for atheists who share our culture.

Compare for example the world view and way of life of a westerner, with someone living in a religiously sanctioned caste society, like India. You say religion has no affect because you see how peope are different despite religion. You see individuality shining through. You just don't see what it is shining through.

From my experience, poverty and education level have a much greater influence on people than religion. The social gradient in a country also affects people much more than religion.

I've worked in extremely poor countries with Christians, Muslims, Buddhists and Hindus. Sorry, but there ain't a great deal of difference between them.

In parts of Africa I've been in, it was quite a common thing for a senior person in a certain mining organisation to be approached by a worker, and be told by the worker that if he could just be given a more senior position, then he could get the choice of his daughter or son to do as he liked to them. This happened at least once a week by different people.

This was a country that had a mixture of Christians (mostly evangelical) and Muslims, and the people who approached him were a roughly proportional mixture of both.

Rich people have more in common with each other than people who share a certain religion.
