I think you've already given your feedback about the Islamic forum (several times over), and you've been given an answer, the rules there are the rules, if you don't accept them, don't post there. Nobody is forcing you to.

I have to agree, it was a nice experiment, to see if we could get all the Islam stuff together, because it is such a worrying issue for so many, but the open deceit and improper moderating has made it a joke.

Abu may have enlightened me on some things, but I cannot actually think of any, because for the most part he tries to obfuscate and distract.

Malik used to be able to offer a more forthcoming answer to queries, but he is gone, so I think it is time to close the Islam board, and ban Abu from being a mod.

I agree with Mozza, except I say we keep the Islam board and get rid of Islamic moderators. We need to find a non Muslim scholar of Islam. One who isn't required to lie to defend the faith and support brother Muslims regardless of their actions.

I dislike bigotry and hate, but there is nothing wrong with disliking an ideology so long as you have justification for it.

Good point easel, an islamic expert who is not muslim would be difficult to find, unfortunately.

I've met ww2 experts who did not go to ww2, and ancient Egyptian experts who were not around in the days of the pharoh.

I don't disagree that they could be experts, just that no muslim would accept that they were.

And given the multiple interpretations that can be applied to almost any religious text, Islam or otherwise, even two non-Muslim Islam experts are likely to disagree on the most contentious points. Not to mention passionate input to debate from practising Muslims. More sooner than later the threads would end up as the cluster fvcks they are now.

Just a balanced unbiased mod would be better than what we have.  To keep out the crap and  keep the debate on track.
