Title: 25 Post search limit increase Post by locutius on Nov 11th, 2008 at 11:40am
FD, is there a way for this post search limit to be increased.
Also what is the possibility for a spellcheck tool? Cheers |

I'll check with the YaBB people. I don't think a spell checker is going to happen. Use MS a word processor to compile your post if you want that. I could probably increase the search limit with some code alterations, however we have been having trouble with high loads on the server, which may rule it out.
I can usually figure out how to refine a search so the limit isn't an issue. Are you using this page to search from? http://www.ozpolitic.com/forum/YaBB.pl?action=search |

No but I will. Good point though. I have not been refining my searches as much as I could have. Thanks.

If I find a bunch of threads on the same topic, I will often post all the links into the most recent thread. I can also splice threads together if you want.

There seems to be a spell check built in to YaBB already. Don't you see the red underlined words when you type? Maybe it comes from Microsoft Office. Quote:

Looks interesting. Unfortunately upgrading is a huge pain the arse. It took me a long time to get everything sorted out after the last upgrade, and I still haven't added back in lost features, such as the customised member profiles pages where you could write stuff or add pictures. Maybe if I get spare time over Christmas I'll do an upgrade, but don't hold your breath.
Hopefully the member home pages is now a default feature with 2.3. It would also be good to have a recent topics list that has the same format as a board. |
