Title: Political Assassinations
Post by easel on Jan 23rd, 2009 at 2:37am
How come this country doesn't have political assassinations? It happens everywhere else, even the UK and USA, but not here, or if it does, maybe it is covered up too well.

I mean, there are plenty of politicians who go around openly and deliberately destroying freedom and what used to be known as the Australian way of life, yet they aren't stopped. People whinge and complain, and do nothing else.

This is probably a good thing, I suppose, that laid back Australian attitude, especially if you are an evil person vying for power and control over the population.

In a perfect world politicians would be getting killed left, right and centre, as in, from all political orientations, not politicians getting killed everywhere.

Lucky for some we don't live in a perfect world, and evil too often gets to triumph over good, due to our collective apathy.

maybe we don't have enough density of population to generate the enclaves and societies to assassainate people ?

Maybe we are not important enough to warrant it?

So you think we'd end up with better politicians if more of them were killed?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/barackobama/4274602/Man-arrested-for-threatening-to-assassinate-Barack-Obama.html

Quote:
"Steven Joseph Christopher, who is from Wisconsin, was arrested by the Secret Service in Brookhaven, Mississippi, after two threats were posted on the internet.

Federal prosecutors said that he was charged with threatening to kill the US President-Elect for what he claimed was "the country's own good". "

So apart from  the fact they dont like black pple..why would the election of Obama concern some.. ? How would American politics change.?
