Yadda walks on water, for muso.....
....well not quite. But hey muso, now that i have your attention.... ;D ;D muso, You may find these two Criss Angel levitation YOUTUBE clips interesting, Criss Angel - Levitate A Women http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=jtR_Xk6g8yw Criss Angel - Levitate at Sunset Park II http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=4UaFRBP8oS0 muso, Criss Angel is a professional 'magician'. And what these clips demonstrate, is the fakery of Criss Angel. Right? Err, because [what these clips demonstrate] the 'breaking' of natural laws, like gravity, is not possible. Right? muso, Many 'miracles' happen right in front of us, every day. Every sunrise, every new blade of grass, every flower. But these miracles are now too 'common' for the eyes of we, 'wise' men, to acknowledge these events as wondrous. Know what it is to be a child... To see a world in a grain of sand And heaven in a wild flower, Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand And Eternity in an hour. William Blake, Auguries of Innocence When we were children, every second question from our lips was, "Why?", or "How?". When we 'grow up' in this world, many of us grow too 'wise', and become too dull of mind. We no longer see with the eyes of a child, we no longer see the TRUTH of God's creation, with the awe of a child. 1 Corinthians 2:14 .....the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him.... Today, God hides himself from our 'common' [worldly] understanding. Only those of us with the 'child' still within still see the wonder, look away from the world, and ask, "Why?" Personally, i believe that we are never closer [in this life] to our God 'consciousness', than when we first 'arrive' here. That is why little children still do [seem to] believe, in the reality of 'magical' experiences, and believe in things not seen [with their eyes]. So innocently, children can accept, what they encounter, or what they experience. But so, so, soon, within a few years, that consciousness , that innocence, will fade away - as we 'go native', and as this 'reality' kicks in! ++++++ Luke 24:25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. 28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further. 29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. 30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. If Jesus did that vanishing trick today, we would probably all agree that he must be a magician, and that he did it with smoke and mirrors. Right? In a spiritual sense.... We have all eaten of that 'tree of the knowledge of good and evil' [err, its another spiritual parable!]. Some of us have the 'sight' to acknowledge that it was a mistake [to separate ourselves from God]. Within the Bible, God portrays all mankind as his wayward [spiritual] children. .....his prodigal, ungrateful, children. It is easy for a parent to extend forgiveness to a child [who makes a mistake, and acknowledges it]. Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. 16 For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made. Psalms 25:12 What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. 13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. 14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. |

Cool, but I actually have walked on water at one stage in my life.
Yadda, I still experience the world through wide eyed wonder and will never cease to do so until I'm brain-dead. I leave you with your mythology. Keep it - the goat skins that it was written on are starting to get a bit high on the nose where I stand in the 21st Century. I just don't have the stomach for modern day Christianity, Islam or any other traditional religion because they reek of tribalism, exclusionism, a 'better than thou' attitude and they inspire misguided violence. Maybe a long time ago, people genuinely tried to record the collective wisdom of centuries of a much quieter, less complicated but harder existence, but for me, the very meaning has been corrupted through the ages and all we are left with is a foul stench. I haven't walked on water for quite a number of years, but I assure you that it was quite pure H2O, and there were no magic tricks involved. In fact I even cut a hole in it and managed to catch some nice fat torsk by dangling a line through to the liquified portion down below. |
