Bong cars. Used in coal mines, the exhaust fumes are filtered by being passed through water. Apparently the C is captured and O2 is given off. I don't know, but they still do it in the mines.

Plants need CO2 to grow.

Don't they emit CO2 at night and use O2? And during the day they eat the CO2 and emit O2?

Yes, but on everage green plants consume more C and emit more O2.
The simple result of photosynthesis is: CO2 +H2O ---> CH2O + O2
That is why long dead plants are coal now.

I know you can get candles that burn CO2 and give off 02, however that works.

Aren't there also some plants that are super oxygen converters?

They may be not enough. Some water weeds have real great CO2-->O2 conversion value however. I think there is some experimentation to this effect was done on Mir and now is continuing on ISS but I'm not sure.
