Jews stabbed in Jerusalem Sabbath protest

Three ultra-Orthodox Jews have been wounded in clashes with secular Jews in Jerusalem ahead of the latest protest against what some see as the desecration of the Jewish Sabbath.

Two of those injured were stabbed.

All are being treated in hospital.

Ultra-Orthodox - or Haredi - Jews have been protesting in recent weeks against the opening of a car park in Jerusalem during the Sabbath.

They fear it will bring tourists into the area, encouraging local shops to open on the Sabbath.
