Just setting up grounds to stop people like Saleam and associated political parties who share his ideals, in time for the next election.

Does e mailing the PM with a list of demands come under this category? it well could be considered as "encourage others to commit acts of violence". Wow, my local member gets things done quick, I only e mailed her this morning. |

Yes I'm sure that the Attorney-General put this on the national agenda because you emailed your local MP. This is likely to be more restrictions on freedom of speech. I'll wait to see the draft and may put in a submission depending on what it says. |
Title: Re: Anti-terrorist crackdown on religious extremists Post by sprintcyclist on Jul 22nd, 2009 at 7:03pm Amazing. Great idea the ALP govt. Remember my letter I sent to the immigration minister a few months ago ? I never got a reply, doubt it was just my suggestion. This is what the public want. |

FREE SPEECH TO END IN AUSTRALIA AS MUSLIMS DICTATE POLITICALLY CORRECT TERMINOLOGY
http://www.theage.com.au/national/do-not-confuse-islam-with-terrorism-says-book-20090719-dpik.html A GUIDEBOOK for politicians, police and public servants on how to talk about Muslims and terrorism without implicating the religion of Islam should be released by the end of the year. The book, A Lexicon on Terror, was conceived by Victoria Police and the Australian Multicultural Foundation, but was so popular it became a national project, an international conference on Islamophobia at Monash University heard yesterday. Stephen Fontana, the assistant commissioner for counter-terrorism co-ordination, told the conference the aim was to reduce alienation and radicalism among young Muslims. "A comment we think is harmless, some communities read as an attack," he said. Multicultural Foundation head Hass Dellal told The Age many Muslims interpreted "war on terror" as a war on Islam. Other terms to be avoided included "Islamic terrorism", "Islamo-fascists", "Middle Eastern appearance", and "moderate Muslim", which suggested to Muslims they were inadequate in their faith. "Talk about 'violent extremists', because that's what they are, or name the group," he said. "Muslims and non-Muslims alike have told us they don't want a new wave of political correctness but they want a more careful use of language." Mr Dellal said the concern was the wholesale branding of Islam with violence, terrorism and extremism. "It's hard to change language, but if we start with politicians and leaders it may filter down. We need to change not just language but attitudes." |

Now why would they do that? They call this in the trade 'Consciousness of Guilt'. Centcom's Red Team said what a pack of baloney this all is and was. I sent Centcom's memo to both AGs, and the opposition. http://www.nefafoundation.org/miscellaneous/FeaturedDocs/CentCommRedTeamReport_FrdomSpeech.pdf Just quietly, I think Centcom Red Team knows a teensy bit more about islamic terror than the Victorian police and their leftist backers from the Labor party. |

False alarm, NEFA Foundation is clean. They prepare reports for Congress and the military. A lot of virus alerts these days tend to be false alarms, too sensitive. |
