mozzaok - it's a bit esoteric, but there seems to be a line of thought behind it.


In entirely my own thoughts
the first one (lamentations - a depressing book) is a prophecy about Jesus's grim future.

the second - (ezekiel - one of the classic OT prophets) extols Jesus to speak out against Israel. Which he did.
The third (ezekiel again) is why jesus should speak out against Israel.
Israel here may mean the jewish religion, the country or individuals.

4th - gives us advice on a way for us to avoid having Jesus speak out against us. A way to avoid wickedness being inside us, when we started out blameless.

5th - "Seek me and live" gives directions to overcoming internal wickedness
6th - shows what some experience when some people experience Gods presence. ("I have sinned....")
7th - is a person making their choice to continue to seek God and relying on Gods ways to help him/her.


There's really quite a journey in those ones.
funny they have all come from the latter 1/2 of the OT.
Nice there is no "religion" in it.    :-)

But it's not real love, Sprint... It's not like a real father sending a real son into an uncertain future and fate... What you've got there, if you buy the theology, is a divine entity sending a bit of himself to wander around for 33 years, then be reunited with himself... Absolutely certain destiny and a complete guarantee of surviving death. And atone for sins? Who was he trying to appease? Himself?

Many people in there do things God wished they would not.

I'm not sure it was such a "done deal". Oft a slip betwixt cup and lip.

Well, as the Bible tells us, apparently "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13)."

But that would be a man... a mortal... not a god.

Greater still (if not plain insanity) would be laying down your life for an animal... say a horse or a cow or maybe a goat.

Doesn't that seem like a paradox to you? God is (generally considered) omniscient and yet Jesus is surprised or disappointed by what people do and say.

I saw it more from the human side.  
The way humans act and react, what makes them do things.
Often, though I disagree with what people do, I can see why they did it.

At times I can see one of my kids is getting into trouble.
Despite my efforts when/if it happens, I'm still disappointed.

At times he's angry or disappointed at what people do, so I assume he did not want that to happen.

"He trusts in the LORD; let the LORD rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him."

God often speaks on many levels.
"........disabled people ..........." may well refer to spiritual disablement.
"......used to lie....." is a past verb, it's no longer valid. They may well have spiritually progressed, they can be free.
"........Here........"  may mean this chat site.

"...........a great number of ............"  may mean you.

I never thought about that.
I asked.  

I was listening to LIFE FM  thisnight, and saddened by an ETERNAL tragedy in me that Christians believe Jesus - or J-HigH - is the only man.

 His whole message was that YOU shalt become what he was, and more.
