All 18th / 19th century discovery / inventions... Not a time we'd recognise as all that democratic and free.

But a time when ostensibly, Joe & Jane Citizen, had much more respect for their Christian God, attended their parish church, and regularly read their Bible.

It all started to go wrong, when we decided to give women the vote.        :o
....[i can hear the howls of protest from here!!!!!    ;D    ]

Well, there was that anti-religious enlightenment thing going.

And recognised the 'inalienable rights of man',
And taught the bloody working class to read and write,
And implemented the 8 hour working day,
And set those bloody slaves free...

Oh for the good ol' days of serfdom, slavery, the divine right of kings, god, satan, heaven, hell and eternal damnation...

;D  ;D  ;D

You gotta be kidding Yadda. For the 1700 years that Europe was bible-adhering, your history is known by the term "Dark ages". Prior to adopting Christianity, [Southern] Europe was quite technologically advanced (for it's time) and then when they began rejecting Christianity, they again began advancing. For the entire period in between, they were backwards and in darkness.

Could've been worse we could have adopted Islam and be in the Dark Ages now.

As has been demonstrated on here before, when society adopted Islam, they technologically advanced in leaps and bounds. And 'co-incidentally' enough, when they moved away from it, they ceased. advancing...

Gee Sprint, you're all over the shop !! The printing press was invented around 1439, although the Chinese originally invented it hundreds of years before that.

Space ships (the shuttle, lunar rockets), airplanes you're getting a bit warmer... Although wasn't it German science under the Nazi government that finally successfully developed the jet engine and rocket science?

The printing press..

What is Taught: Movable type and the printing press was invented in the West by Johannes Gutenberg of Germany during the 15th century.

What Should be Taught: In 1454, Gutenberg developed the most sophisticated printing press of the Middle Ages. However, movable brass type was in use in Islamic Spain 100 years prior, and that is where the West's first printing devices were made.

Do you consider the Communist USSR to be part of the 'Democratic free world'??

Oh, those Chinois..

Quote:
By AD 593, the first printing press was invented in China, and the first printed newspaper, Kaiyuan Za Bao, was available in Beijing in AD 713. It was a woodblock printing. And the Tianemmen scrolls, the earliest known complete woodblock printed book with illustrations, was printed in China in AD 868; it did not supersede the use of block printing.

Cricket was invented hundreds of years ago, when Britain was a dictatorial monarchy, hardly democratic free world. Ditto for rugby.

Oh well you know don’t mention Nazis don’t mention the Third Reich, the evil democracy rules. Mate you are dead right they did invent both the jet and the rocket and many other things, although at the time another man from another  was developing a jet but I forget who.
There is a great deal to be learnt from the Third Reich, they have been the most superior when it comes to advancing White society in every means form the economy and technology to social skills and decency, So sad that we were governed by jews, and still are, don’t believe it Google Kevin Rudd Zionist. And yes America went to the moon on Adolf Hitler’s technology and even the stealth bomber and fighter were all based on German designs in fact most planes and leaps in technology can be attributed directly to goods seized from the third Reich that Hitler created, Only thing is they lost the war just before all this new tech came into production, just imagine what they would have achieved by today, well one can only imagine. When researching Nazi Germany be aware that they lost the war and most evidence is as credible as W.M.D.s in Iraq. Only then the media was far more suppressed than today and was able to get away with telling huge lies for the governments of the time.

Its not just that they cant invent things, but they wouldnt.
We already invented baths deodorant and soap for islam but do they use it no. In fact they even take up our hospital beds to say no I cant have treatment its against my religion, and oh no the doctor cant see me or touch me, ma get out there, Aussies could use the beds, and health chrisses what health chrisses get the islamic and asians out of the waiting rooms and the hospitals will be empty.

Quite amusing claim, since Northern Europeans never began using soap until it was introduced to them during the crusades by Muslims.

Quote:
After a crusade, the crusaders came back with such luxuries as mattresses and couches. They were used to the comfort in Jerusalem, so they brought it back to Europe.  The Muslims were clean people. They wash and bathe and the crusaders brought soap back. Many diseases were stopped because of the people in Europe. We could all be dead if we didn’t have the crusades. Medicine in the medieval times wasn’t really that good before the crusades.
Were the Crusades worthwhile

Quote:
As for personal issues then there is not much to be said, she used to take pride in the fact that she never bathed except twice; the day she was born in the year 1451 and the day she got married in the year 1469. She was also bathed when she died in 1504.”
