It can be anything and doesnt have to cost a cent..

I have planned a trip to the Australian Open 2010..always said I would and its time.
Cant wait.

I was born in Melbourne, ill bet the place has changed.

last time was buying one of the self help books for myself.

This one is very good. Inviting, challenging, then gets very deep.
One I have to read just a bit, put it down.
Will reread many parts of it later.

That sounds good AG, I'd love to go there, matter of fact Ive never been to any pro Tennis match, but the Aus open would be great.
As for the last time I did anything great for myself, mm, that's hard, I bought a new pair of jeans that cost me $260 bucks this week, I never thought I'd ever spend that much on jeans, but I love them, and they are Italian, not chinese like the $100 dollar ones.

there is nothing better than a great pair of jeans skippy. I must invest in another pair soon..mine are all worn.

Yes my son loves his tennis, so its now or never really..Im a bit worried our greatest ever player ( Rafael Nadal) will not be too much longer doing the rounds due to his knee problems, sooo....

Melb will be a nightmare tho..

Are you coming to Melbourne by yourself AG?

The last big thing I did was a big screen TV so I can watch TV and surf the internet at the same time. I don't know if that was really such a good idea  ::)
Before that, it was buying a load of clothes that only fit my optimal weight (for some incentive to stay there). Most of them are still relatively new.  ;D

amadd - good thinking on the new clothes.

here is a story for you.
Many years ago a captain sailed to a far land to go to war.
When he arrived on the beach he saw his men were not 100% committed to the battle ahead.
He knew that when things got tough, the soldiers might run back to the boats that sailed them there and sail away to safety.
So he burnt the boats.
They could not return, they were 100% committed.

Some of your old clothes that are a bit too large now might be like those boats.
They may be a safety way back to where you came from.

Going to give them away, or keep them, just in case ?
:-)

I see your point.
Realistically, I need to keep some bigger clothes around because sometimes work makes it hard to stick to good foods and an exercise schedule, as do the winter months. And I like to wear loose fitiing clothes around the house anyway.

I still have that incentive of getting back into my near new clothes. The weather is slowly getting better, so after I get back from doing my mum's lawn, I'll dust off the old bike.

So get diving ,deep, and compress yourself back to normal size flap.

I'll certainly know if I see you at the tennis..you'll be the one with big blue flippers and oxygen tanks on your back?

Yes Maddy rocks, I don't disagree.

There has not been a shield invented to deflect my rocks.
Expect one wherever you might be sitting.

;D No, I was always late, but spent the rest of classtime avoiding penalties for it.
The less time entrapped in subserviance the better. That's why I don't bother working for them. There are ways around it.
