Title: Re: bible questions Post by sprintcyclist on Oct 1st, 2009 at 10:21pm i don't know abu. what do you think ? it is not really in keeping with what jesus taught or did elsewhere. Quote:
yet he hated the pharisees, and they were always out to trick him.
"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.
from memory, i think that line is in only one of the 4 gospels. what do you think? |

He is implying that this line makes Jesus just as bloody as Mohammed. |

Hint for the Biblically challenged: It's part of a parable. He's not actually telling people to do this, he's telling a story about a King and quoting the King. ::)
Sprint - I'm surprised that this stumped you. The answer is to examine the context. Read the passage that it came out of. (edit: removed last sentence - bit harsh? ) |
Title: Re: bible questions Post by sprintcyclist on Oct 2nd, 2009 at 3:01pm my apologies muso, i did not look into it as I should have done. |
