Title: Dysfunctional, non-democratic
Post by fawkes on Mar 13th, 2010 at 9:14am
In earlier threads I have suggested that it is pointless discussing individual politicians whilst our whole political system is faulty. Here's one of many posts on that theme, taken from On Line Opinion's article discussion area: http://forum.onlineopinion.com.au/thread.asp?article=4574&page=1

Quote:
“The end result is that the Australian political system neither represents popular opinion (whatever that is) nor does it respond to substantive problems. It is entirely dysfunctional, neither democratic nor providing good governance, while making a great show of doing both.”

A succinct and correct summary, applying to all political shades in Australia.

The fellow decries the system as useless AND decries the system as powerful enough to perpetuate its own uselessness.  The fellow is a whining, whinging arse-coverer. His voice is powerful enough to proclaim from the rooftops his own powerlessness.
A useless man.

How typical of soren to go attacking the messenger, without offering any evidence that the message is wrong.

At least I know what not to take seriously. Not something you can say.
