Title: Political Party Economic Pledges
Post by perceptions_now on Aug 18th, 2010 at 10:38pm
Coalition pledges to deliver $6.2 bn budget surplus

A COALITION government would deliver a budget surplus of $6.2 billion in 2012-13, frontbenchers Andrew Robb and Joe Hockey revealed today.
The Coalition's projected surplus beats the Government's forecast surplus of $3.5 billion in the same year and would rise to $7.3 billion in 2013-14 as against Labor's $4.5 billion.

Let me be clear, this is a Non-Political, even handed observation.

The pledges of both Labor & Liberal are worth 2 knobs of Goat sh!t, when it comes to promising Surpluses, because neither will deliver!

Yes Perceptions, but you dont nearly criticise Labor as much as you do the Coalition, in most of your posts you criticise the Coalition more so than labor.

Perceptions, Im not saying your an extreme lefty, nor you are a full on lefty or laborite, Im just saying you lean mostly to the left in your posts, thats all.

And theres nothing wrong with it, being bias is part of human nature whether you accept it or not.

What I'm saying Stryder, is that I have no confidence whatever, that either major party has the best long term interests of Australia and Australians, as their primary, driving concern!

That said, I honestly believe that at this moment in time, Labor is the best of two bad choices, when there is NO viable third option and that is what is reflected in my posts!

As I said, I wouldm't give 2 knobs of goat sh!t for both Labor & Liberal and whoever wins this election, will most likely have great difficulty in seeing out their full term.

Can anyone explain Hockey's comment that government net debt will peak at $89.5B in 2012-13 to me?

That seems a lot lower than I thought.
