Title: Cry and Cry Post by dontworry on Sep 16th, 2010 at 10:40pm
It is indeed a rather sad occasion when a P'plater drives into a tree and kills himself and others but honestly, is this enough justification for the media to completely exaggerate the severity of the situation and the circumstances involved in the crash just for ratings?
Could the media's coverage of such topics indeed be used as a tool to persuade people of Australia to comply morally and ethically with the introduction of new legislation which may be rather controversial and contradictory with our human rights charter standards? Televised programs that are created and edited by professionals with the intention of getting viewers attention may be putting this country's and more specifically Victoria's maturity at risk by simply dramatizing every incident that occurs and emotionally seducing people into feeling strongly and passionately about minor issues that occur frequently in a congested society however orderly it may be. Most importantly, they are intentionally influencing everyday Australian’s opinions on topics which best suit the government’s interest, position and agenda. Statistically Melbourne's population passed 4 million in mid-2009 and is growing by roughly 100,000 a year. Furthermore, if you look at the statistics concerning serious offences such as murder, culpable driving and assaults in the past 10 years, they have generally stayed equal in comparison. So can somebody explain why P'platers now have to suffer the consequences of new restrictions on their licenses? Why are P'platers being generalized and discriminated against by the media and older generations in the community that fail to emphasize on the problems these restrictions can behold on the upcoming generations. Just because a few people drive into a tree, does that mean every P'plater is an irresponsible dog that will do the same? What about the upcoming generations that hasn’t yet had the chance to acquire a license? Why aren't they even given the opportunity to be responsible and instead forced to be subjected into suffering the consequences of the decisions others made. Forget that. Police in Victoria now have the right to search you at any time in a public place if they believe you may be carrying illegal drugs, stolen goods or firearms. HAHA! 'IF THEY BELIEVE WE ARE CARRYING DRUGS, STOLEN GOODS OR FIREARMS'? Not difficult to understand why they added this ridiculous unnecessary statement to deceive and falsely justify this to imbeciles. They try to disguise and cloak the true hard fact that police now possess the power to search anybody in a public domain anytime they wish too. Anybody guess how they passed this legislation? Under the pretext of 'increasing youth violence', anti-social behavior, increase in offences relating to concealed weapons and more pathetically, they justified this to the majority of Victorians by placing ads on both television and radio constantly bombarding the public and discriminatorily blaming the youth. The bottom line is, no authority in a free democratic nation should have the right to come up to anybody and tell them to empty out their pockets, ESPECIALLY NOT if they are an law abiding citizen that did nothing wrong but fall victim to false accusations. Morons. When a death occurs, instead of seeking to accept fate and realization the existence of human error and mistake we are growing this disgusting immature culture that is continuously seeking somebody to blame for any given disaster that occurs in our lives. Compensation this, compensation that. The civil justice system is nothing short of a joke. A rat jumps off the West Gate Bridge and the father tries to sue the government? When the f.u.c.k did our justice system fall into the same filthy toilet? How can such ridiculous cases such as these even be allowed to go through? Even worse! The Victorian government is intending to waste millions building suicide barriers? HAHAHA! Isn't there one stupid dumb mother.f.u.c.ker out there smart enough to wonder how many other high places one can jump off if one were to kill themselves? What’s the reality is that this constant childish blame has got to stop. We cannot continue to introduce new laws on top of another that is slowly and surely taking away our children’s freedoms in this country. We cannot allow ourselves to be manipulated by a mother mourning the death of her son on national television because he was a borderline alcoholic that got into a fight and died. Melbourne and other cities are just that, a city. If we live in a congested metropolis area, there's always going to be unintentional death inevitably occurring for countless different reasons. Just because the government is struggling with hospital beds, police shortages and traffic congestion, don't allow them to dwindle our freedom. Force them to come up with alternatives! Did I mention that we can be fined in Victoria for leaving our car unattended with our windows OPEN!? HAHAHA! This is not a joke, it's reality! A human being just like me can walk up to me and literally force me to pay several hundred dollars out of my own hard earned money for leaving my own car window open. This is Australia, a developed democratic proud nation. |

We are firmly entrenched in the age of the idiot. Australia is an idiot`s paradise, but it is also a fool`s paradise, because it can`t last. We have out idiot`s breeding programme well under way, and it`s been fabulously successful.
Nowdays, if I go to the pub, get in the horrors, and do myself a mischief, I can sue the publican. If an employee puts his shoes on backwards in the morning, it`s the bosses fault! We have become a Nation of brain dead, childish whimps. Why is this a fool`s paradise, and why can`t it last? It can`t last because we are now too weak to compete on the world market. This fool`s paradise is being sponsored by our mining industry, idiots are still mistaken as to the reason for so much of our industry being moved off shore. Could anyone really be so dumb, to think business owners would purposefully go to all the expense, risk and effort, to dissemble a viable business in their homeland and set up in another country? Hard to believe anyone could be so stupid, and still have the ability to digest their own food. |
