Title: Who are the representatives of the G20 nations?
Post by jump on Oct 3rd, 2010 at 6:08pm
2010 G-20 Seoul summit will take place in November.

G-20 is an international economic cooperative organization founded in December of 1999 in Berlin by expanding upon the previously-existed G-7, which was an organization of the seven most advanced nations of the world. G-20's primary goals are to prevent resurfacing of an international economic crisis and to seek a way for the world economy to grow steadily. The summit taking place in South Korea this November is the fifth summit.

G-20 also deals with other meaningful subjects such as refugee troubles and international security.
Today we will learn more about the twenty nations and their representatives participating in the summit.
We will introduce them one by one, starting with the President of the hosting nation, Republic of Korea: Lee Myung-bak.

President Lee took office as President of Republic of Korea in February of 2008.
Previously the mayor of Seoul since 2002, President Lee demonstrated brilliant knowledge and perception and built a great reputation by organizing public projects such as the restoration of the Cheonggye creek and restructuring the public transportation system of Seoul.

Soon after, he was elected as President with the majority vote. Although there were a lot of complications, President Lee made many great contributions that South Korea could become a member of the world's ten most economically developed nations and the host of the G-20 summit, essentially overcoming the boundaries of Asia and standing side by side with the rest of the world.

Through the G-20 summit, we expect that Republic of Korea will improve her brand value as well as her national value in both the short term and the long term. We sincerely hope that the G-20 summit will take place successfully.
