Title: Thomson TG782T modem
Post by riverina.jack on Dec 23rd, 2010 at 2:59am
I have a Thomson TG782T modem and a Email tracking program that has to go through Port 80. (The program only tells me when someone opens a Email I send them.)

All I want to know is how do I open port 80 on the modem so I can use the program.

I have rang my ISP and the Software Development company, the web site I got the program from, and no one can tell me how to open the port. I have even look at Thomson web site.

Can anyone tell me how to open it please?

Port 80 is the one used by Web services. If it wasn't open already you wouldn't be able to read this.

You're looking to port forward I think.

Look for DMZ in the web interface. Add the IP of your computer you're using for that software. (Check it in the DHCP client list)   That should fix it. That makes it a public IP. You might also have a firewall set up. Let me know if that fixes it.

I had to do something similar to get a webserver working from behind a router.
