The Prophet said, "If I take an oath and later find something else better than that, then I do what is better and expiate my oath.".

This is nothing new.
The Israeli's thought they were going to get the peace that was promised to them when they withdrew all forces from Gaza in 2005.
And rockets chased after them as they left.
The reality is that even if Hamas did honour the truce, the extremist minority groups affiliated with Hamas honour nothing but their desire to kill Jews.
They signed no truce whatsoever.
And Hamas has no wish or stomach to reign these groups in.
Sooner or later, the IDF will need to go back in and do the job properly.
