Actually, the first sentence of the text gives the motive for the attack. You should not let your admiration for islam inhibit your reading and comprehension skills.

Is that the opinion of the journalist, or does he actually provide any evidence to support his assertion.

A quote from anyone? No. A description of the charges? No. Any transscript from the court case? No.

Yep...actually nothing to support the head line except a throw away line from the journalist himself. Wow...great journalism there.
