The independants are being forced into a vote of no confidance in gillard

the voters have had enough of the alp.
the greens voted against them about the malaysia idea.
their polls are a disaster.
richardson said they cannot win the next election.

the independants are cornered by the failed alp

If they actually care about the Australian people, their own electorates, who always have been overwhelmingly more Coalition than ALP, and want stable government, Oakeshott and Windsor will change sides. Alas, the two seem to be motivated purely by self-interest.

this is why Oakshott and Windsor are flagging a "rethink" on the Carbon Tax as well

Budgets are announced in the first week of May

Gillard wants the Carbon Tax implemented by 1st July

By March if the polls has not improved these guys will have to vote with the Coalition

Abbott will call for a no confidence

If Oakshott and Windsor do not back it then they'll lose the goodwill they've built with rejecting the Carbon Tax

all our Power Bill are going to take a mighty jump on the 1st of July as well..

and thats without the dreaded CARBON TAX.

The vote of no confidence was over the asylum seeker deal with Malaysia and rightly so......It is a policy of persecution and punishment for seeking a better life and accepting the word of a nation that said it would help refugees.....It had nothing to do with the carbon tax or anything else!!!

Good morning Cods.....The ALP have sunk to its lowest level and out done the Coalition on persecution and pandering to extremist opinion by using the plight of minorities for political gain.....Australia has nothing to be proud of....Our leaders are turning Australia into a symbol of greed and self serving ignorance.....I thought we went to war to help these people???

morning phil...I do believe we have the right to protect our borders though...that just makes sense to me.,. we are lucky we only have water surrounding us.. but it doesnt mean we cannot be swamped with other coun tries rejects..I remember quite a few years back we go one of Chinas most wanted here..we do need commonsense and a sense of fair play..

I wish I knew what the answer was.. my daughter worked in immigration in Sydney for about 3 years.she was on the find the illegals overstayers working without a permit.. and would go out at midnight to find these people..now they were all being used and in some cases abused..[brothels] this wasnt the govt this was the likes of you and I taking advantage and abusing people..its there all the time.. you can guarantee anyone overstaying is being exploited by someone.

the rest of the world hasnt got it right so why would we be any different.. if we open the gates it will be a landslide make no mistake about that phil..

I dont think its greed on our part the whole world is a mess .. we need to do more to make these countries safe and viable to their own people.. its ridiculous that the UN..and all these other world saving corporation... are not doing more in this direction...

they seem to sit back and watch a mass evactuation take place..{Syria] when they end up with camps with thousands of people in them on borders they then send in the UN/redcross... its a joke..

I read about Haiti not long ago... those people are still living under tarps...this just wouldnt happen in a country like ours...why is it allowed to fester in these poorer countries?..something is terribly wrong.

we can send soldiers to war.. yet we cant send people in to save these countries from devastation amazing.

No help from getup hypocrits. Maybe they should take their overseas members and go home.
