While I don't condone violence - I wonder what Albanese thinks would happen when he called protestors as a convoy of "no consequence"
Is this d1ckhead so out of touch that he can't respect others who wants to protest |

"Please maintain your right to a democratic say. Please do not ever be intimidated, no matter how smarmy, how sarcastic any member of parliament (is),"
Irony or what? Making a speech in parliament is "intimation"? the WTF is physical assaulting an MP then? The victim complex, raging hypocrisy of the extreme right is almost flabbergasting if it weren't so goddamn predictable >:( How long before these people spill blood? |

I thought the rat man was as rude as any polly I have ever heard talking to a group protesting said polly. |

Um.. NOT violence? Saying that someone is of no consequence is NOT a reason for assault and your pathetically blithe "I don't condone violence but..." response is typical of your gross apologism for all things extremist. You're the kind of person to say "I don't condone rape but that bitch was asking for it!". You're a complete disgrace. |
Title: Re: Anti-tax extremists physically attack MP Post by Kat on Sep 1st, 2011 at 9:52pm Crap! I saw it on TV and online. It was nothing. A media 'beat-up'. Nothing more. |

Of course there's never a good reason for violence Just like there's never a good reason for calling the protestors a convoy of no consequence So did Conroy think he could pick and choose his consequences when he inflames the situation with those comments? |
Title: Re: Anti-tax extremists physically attack MP Post by Kat on Sep 1st, 2011 at 9:56pm Albanese: -"The sort of other signs that we see at this demo; my view is there is nothing democratic about that, just as there is nothing democratic about about the way that you've acted today,". Nothing democratic? That IS democracy, Anthony. The people. Having their say. So suck it DOWN! |

Agreed, although after his supercilious remarks about these people in parliament I would not have been surprised if they had assaulted him. Labor needs to hoist in the fact that these are not the usual ferals and rent-a-rabble that show up to protest anything and everything, but decent Australians who most likely have never been to a protest in their lives. By pissing these people off Labor has signed its own death warrant. |

This confected outrage from the Coalition is an attempt to gain government not maintain democracy and formulate good policy.....The Coalition have nothing to offer Australia!!!

Exactly, but I don't think they get it. These aren't hippies, students or layabout. They are Average Joes, everyday people who've simply had enough. One bloke was in his nineties. These people don't normally take to the streets, so when they do, it is a sure sign that something, somewhere, is sorely amiss. And they all vote. Ignore and/or deride them at your peril! |

That's assault, a criminal offence. You don't lay a hand on ANYONE because you don't like what they've said. If you did ythat to me a guarantee you'd find yourself fronting in front of a magistrate. |

One was a criminal assault, the other wasn't, can you tell the difference Spaqqa? You're an apologist for extremism, and you are applauding people using violence and intimidation to shut down freedom of speech. you are pretty much a Brown Shirt. |

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! You'd have to be a bit of a girl to call the jacks just because an old lady grabbed your tie. Even more so if you wanted to press charges. The cops'd die laughing. At you. As would the magistrate. And as, indeed, would we all....... |

Is this in a much smaller way similar to Mr Howard calling several million Iraq war protesters " the same old rent a crowd" or did it hurt more because he was close to the mark. |
Title: Re: Abbott's Brown Shirt cadre on the attack Post by Mischa on Sep 1st, 2011 at 11:48pm
It's NOT the people having their say..it's a hired crowd of greedy thoughtless right wing climate deniers paid for by billionaire mining moguls to destroy a government who wants to address climate change for ALL Australians. NOT turn Australia over to Gina fooking Rheinhardt on a fooking plate..
How stupid are you people? Why do you support billionaires? Oh that's right! alan jones told you to...salivating over his golden microphone as he stares adoringly at the Sydney Swans? Hilarious..really. Abbott is dead meat...this kind of public disgrace and tea bag tantrums will not be accepted by civilized Australians. He's a gonna. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) |

When the Climate action rallies were held, Abbott was nowhere to be seen. When the Anti-carbon tax rally was held Gillard didn't go out either.
So I have to say fair play to Mr Albanese for showing the bottle to get out there amongst the protesters and stand face-to-face with them. Credit where credit is due. |

No one is trying to censor him - people are simply disagreeing with what he says. Being a non thinking parrot for the party line means you are probably too stupid to grasp the concept of free speech and responsibility for what you say. ::) |

Albanese's electorate will demonstrate to him at the next election who is 'of no consequence' when they throw the Labor bum out on his ass.
This issue has nothing to do with Abbott, nor were those people Abbott's Brown Shirts. In fact they were more than likely former Labor supporters. Albanese has offended many Australians, and he didn't require the assistance of Abbott to make those words come out of Albanese's mouth. He's a goose, and what he said was inappropriate. |

Is it lonely, sitting there in your undies, struggling for relief from the ever increasing pressure applied to your tiny partisan hacked brain from your tin foil hat? I love all this, the ALP/Greens/Independents are going down the tube and the loops will use all sorts of brainless vitriol as they swallow their hack pride and stubbornly follow their pathetic failures down the shitter. LOL, poor loops, couldn’t happen to a more lamentable bunch of bile dripping miscreants. Enjoy your time in the political wilderness. |
