Title: Palestinian Christians support independent state

Palestinian Christians support independent state

The main Christian denominations in East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza have issued a joint statement supporting the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Around 57 000 Christians live in the territories concerned.

The Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Sebastia, Theodosios Atallah Hanna, told euronews the Palestinian people deserve a state, and United Nations recognition.

“We are part of these people and we support this. We work side by side with all the sectors of the Palestinian people, Muslims and Christians, for our freedom and our independence, and to establish our independent Palestinian state, and its capital Jerusalem.

“We hope that the United States and Europe and all those who are sympathetic to the Palestinian cause, will support this just demand.”

You do know that the main sticking point on the 2nd state idea is going to be control of Jerusalem....

It's a city of religious significance to all three of the faiths, so no group is going to allow another group to claim it as a capital (and potentially restrict access).....perhaps the best compromise is for a neutral party to take over administration of the city....Let the UN (for example) run it as a neutral zone, with equal access to the religious sites for ALL parties???

Just like in the last Western occupation of Palestine (ie. the Crusades), the native Christians are considered to be traitors to Western Christendom, and so they are treated much like the "Saracens". Hence the West's complete lack of care about them.

And here is me, thinking that the main sticking point to resolving the conflict between Israel and her neighbours, was going to be moslem belligerence towards non-moslems [the state of Israel being a non-moslem entity in the M.E.].

ISLAM's imperative [as per ISLAMIC scripture];

"O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him)."
Koran 9.123

"...And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah...Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who reject Faith Fight in the cause of Evil: So fight ye against the friends of Satan:.."
Koran 4.74-76

"Fighting [against unbelievers] is prescribed for you, and [if] ye dislike it.....Allah knoweth, and ye know not."
Koran 2.216

"Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods;....they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain:..."
Koran 9.111

Google;
no town, village or hamlet of Israel is mentioned in the Koran

Q.
What about the history of ancient Israel, that is recorded in the Bible ???

A.
Well of course, moslems tell us that that, is totally irrelevant.
/sarc off

According to moslems today, those accounts of the people [Jews], was myth, a lie, 'made up', fabricated, by Jews.

And the historic account of a 'Jewish' temple in Jerusalem?

That, also is another myth/lie, fabricated, by Jews.

Those temples were moslem temples!!!

And the ISLAMIC evidence for such claims ???

They, moslems say it is so.

And moslems would never, ever, lie!!

Chief Muslim claims Jewish Temples never existed
March 15, 2007
"....The Jewish Temples never existed.......descriptions of the Jewish Temples in the Hebrew Tanach, in the Talmud and in Byzantine and Roman writings from the Temple periods were forged, and that the Torah was falsified to claim Biblical patriarchs and matriarchs were Jewish when indeed they were prophets for Islam."

Temple Mount '100% Islamic'
June 01, 2008

This is your best 'joke' yet giz.

The UN 'a neutral party' ???

ROFLOL

In recent years, the UN has morphed into a cabal of nations whose political interests are often dominated by its majority ISLAMIC member nations.

The [majority of the] member nations of the United Nations today, are nothing more than a gang of corrupt and criminal nations, imo.

criticism of ISLAM is 'hate speech'

Google;
organisation of islamic conference wants to make criticism of islam a crime

UN passes resolution calling for criminalization of criticism of Islam

Abbas asks Ban Ki-moon for a Palestinian seat in UN

After meeting Ban Ki-moon, Abbas delivered an impassioned speech to the United Nations assembly, ending with a plea for a Palestinian state. Most delegates stood and gave him a standing ovation.

Still, the Security Council is not going to vote today. In fact, Abbas is hoping that his request will be given enough time to allow the United States to change its mind.

The only trouble is that America does not want peace in the middle east.

More like the US like Israel, does not believe in a peace at any price.
And appeasement has such a poor record in history.

Does anyone give a flyinf bugger what these groups of cretind do? For Christ's sake (pun intended) they've been fighting for over 2000 years. And people think they will ever stop?

I say close their borders and chuck a bunch of heavy weapons in and see who survives. And who would care who it is as they are exactly the same people anyway. Same heritage, same location, same history.
