Matty, your fascination with Oakshott is well-known but not overly appreciated. in future, just add to EXISTING threads, not create new ones. If you dont, I wil move them anyhow. we are trying to reduce the spamming and excessive threads. PLease be a part of the solution.
but the photo IS awesome and prophetic! |

I understand longy. As I said in my post on the thread at the top of the page, I have stuck to my promise, and this is my first Oakeshott thread in a while. I know that people found them annoying, and as such, have massively reduced them. This photo begged for a thread. |

longy I think this is relevant after all it was a new photo shoot..and had nothing to do with mattys other oakeshott threads.. I think you are asking a bit much for us to read back and see if there is another thread on the go about the same subject..I think half the fun on the boards is having new topics.. otherwise we basically know exactly what the poster is going to say..its got so obvious I dont even open most of those from the left..and another huge amount I wouldnt engage with anyway.. because I know what their reply will be..no matter what the subject..
maybe instead of counting the threads count the topics..lets be honest here.. gillard is in govt and Abbott is in opposition...we have a right to discuss every policy or behaviour... you say matty is obsessed with oakeshott.. well gimme has a problem with abbott..thread after thread saying basically the same thing.. that is annoying I agree...but if each one has a different topic.. I dont see whats wrong with that.. are you saying only one thread on climate change??..do we really only want Baillieu size threads..god forbid. |

Well you could have been accused of being Alan Jones and getting your views from Melli. btw - I never thought you were Melli not that it would have been a problem or I would have cared if you were. |

If all Oakshott cared about was his long term political career he would have become cuckolded to the Liberal Party (like the impotent Nats)after the last election. As it is he has shown courage and determination to be on the right side of history and has put his job on the line to benefit future generations of Australians.
Many neo con followers of politics seem to think a pollies major obligation is to their own self interests and the longevity in their public service career is more important than doing the right thing. Dont worry about Oakshott he will do very well after he loses his seat and is replaced with the weak kneed impotent yes man the electorate seems to want. |

wrong... he like the others knew Abbott would call an early election simple as that.. this way there 5 min will last longer they hope.. look they are all threatening her one way or the other..now its the party.. if she goes they go.. what sort of a country are we running here???.. you sound like atypical sore loser.. bitter and spiteful..weakneed impotent yes man.. what are you talking about?.. I think thats what we already have. |

well he wont get a job in his electorate. they hate him with a passion. and hs performance in bringing in a carbon tax that is despised by much of industry wont help either. and if you ahve actually listened to him and his 'argument's you will recognise that he isnt the brightest spark anyhow. expect to see him in Maccas or a Jims Mowing franchise. |

Thanks cods. I agree. I accept that I made way too many Oakeshott threads at first, and as such, have massively reduced them. I think the really important thing to do is to find a balance. |

Yes, and he hasn't been long enough to even get the pension. adel, you are a complete idiot. The right thing? Is betraying your constituents, and supporting a government with the lowest polling ever, "the right thing"? |
