That's a bit weird.

FD has been ironing out some kinks since the upgrade - perhaps this has something to do with that. Maybe save your post til someone gets back to you, just to be safe.

Though if it is divine intervention, watch out for lightning strikes.

It's probably associated with the beefed up security. There are also a few words that activate the spam filter.  I'll try one and see if it happens to me .

What's the context?

I was away from the computer for a while. When I came back to refresh the page, it had that message with an IP address.

That sounds a bit dodgy.

Do you have anti virus software etc?

Was it an OzPolitic message or a windows notification?

This has been an ongoing problem with YaBB notice boards in past versions - meant to be fixed in 2.5AE. - the current version in use.

If its only happened once I wouldn't worry.

If it persists a malware scan could be worth a try especially if nobody else is being affected - very low probability though considering YaBB boards are a bit natorious for this.

And here I was thinking that at long last a raving nutter filter had been installed.

I've found the best way to keep out spammers is to close the window immediately you've finished using the site. I apply this to all the forums I visit. It's possibly overkill, but it seems to keep my computer fairly clean.

I also delete my browsing history a couple of times a day.

Ah, you've discovered the Yabb community. They are pretty good. You get better support for some of this free software than you do for software that you pay money for, and it's mostly volunteers.
