Noted Australian feminist Germaine Greer has ridiculed the Prime Minister's dress sense on television, saying she dresses badly and has a "fat a--".

The author of The Female Eunuch, who made the comments on Q&A last night, has caused a stir with the remarks.

"What I want her to do is get rid of those bloody jackets … they don't fit," she said.

"You've got a big a-- Julia, just get on with it."

The panel and the crowd were in hysterics, to the dismay of many who took to Twitter to vent their shock.

If Julia came up with a policy that worked, the negativity would end and we'd see alernatives being offered by the Opposition. As it is, Gillard has yet to come up with a single policy that works and so all there is left to do is attack those policies and ridicule her. And no, Abbott should not release his policies in detail yet - not until an election has been called. The last thing he wants is the ALP cloning his policies, as they do in almost every election campaign.

By the way, I am not obssessed with her arse. It doesn't even look good.

I thought Germaine Greer was a paedophile.....She has a thing about little boys so it is no wonder she does not like other woman or men!!!

Gillard does have a very large backside and speaks like a terrible bogan.

If she had decent policies and not a burning hatred of helping out ordinary middle income families, I would overlook those traits.

I mean she is like the people you see in the street, nice to their face, but then afterwards remarks on what god-awful sounding people they are.

If she had a decent policy I wouldn't mind - but she has been an unmitigated disaster since the night she knifed the elected PM in the back and grabbed the seat.
