Have a good break. I see that the IMF are forecasting great things for Australia.

If you need somebody to fill in during your absence, let me know :P

I see you now have an attachment to your name -

Welcome back & have fun!

As for the IMF, their pronouncements are like many Central Banks & Politicians, what they say is what they would prefer to see become reality, but it is not actual reality and regrettably, in this instance, there is little likelihood of their pronouncements becoming reality!

And, as for the break, WE WILL have a good one!

Cheers!!!

The time cometh, for me to say au revoir!

You have all earned a break, from me, so enjoy it, while you can.

So ciao, for now!

Welcome back PN.  I'll be taking a back seat for now, so if there are any moderation issues, please contact FD, Mozzaok or PN.  I might take a lot longer to respond, as I''ve just changed jobs (after 7 years).

Thanks Gist!

It's good to be back after some 7 weeks tripping around the UK & Europe, all of which was great, but it is also good to be back home.

The sleep patterns are still a little out of whack, after spending 7 weeks constantly on the move and about 40 hours in transit, without sleep, on the way home!

As it turned out, we (my wife & I) were in London for the Queens diamond jubilee, which was good, but was also an accident of timing. It was also not so good because the crowds were massive and some of the sightseeing venues were blocked off, such as Buckingham Palace & parts of Hyde Park.

But, we did get much the same view of everything that most of Australia got - via the TV!

It was impossible to get near the main events, as the police had blockade's everywhere and quite a few of the bridges over the Thames were blocked off as well.

There were some areas that were open along the Thames, but the crowds were massive, so we decided to watch it on the box, although our hotel was in Hyde Park and not too far from the concerts at Buckingham Palace or Hyde Park and we were up the top, so we got some sounds & some views.

Both the UK & Europe were well worth the experience, even if it was at quite a hectic pace.

So, whilst we are finally getting back to normal sleeping habits, but it may take a lot longer to organise all the photos & videos.

PS - We also got an unexpected wake up call in Florence, courtesy of a 6.0 quake just north of there around 4am on May 20th.

Actually i have been posting on the "right" boards so far but have discovered that a lot of ppl ONLY read the politicians suck board. In that case it is advantageous to post in the wrong area and risk being moved.

SOB

Spot, people post about the things that interest them. Posting it on an irrelevant board won't force people to read it - they can choose to ignore your thread just as easily as they can choose to ignore the other boards. However it will mean that the people who are actually interested are less likely to see it. Threads disappear quickly on the politicians board.

They could choose to ignore them. But as we've seen from death's threads, they'll instead probably read them and then complain.  :)

Glad to hear your trip went well perc. Sounds like you've got good justification for going back to London again!

Yes longwhine, it does strike me as wildly conceited on your part to believe that any mod would take your advice given your history.
