http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-/newshome/13888326/burmese-refugee-angry-at-asylum-cheats/
A Burmese refugee who has not seen her children for five years has expressed her heartache and frustration at claims people smugglers have been granted residency in Australia. Sui Neih Maui, an ethnic Chin who was the first refugee to be settled in WA under the so-called Malaysia deal last year, has not seen her daughters, aged 8, 14 and 16, since she and her husband fled from persecution in Burma in 2007. As she waits patiently for visas for her children to be approved so they can be reunited, Ms Maui condemned people smugglers and those who posed as refugees to enter Australia. "Everyone deserves a fair chance and what they are doing is not fair," she said. "People who take refugees' money and promise them they can come to Australia quicker, they aren't fair, it is not fair because I had to wait and now my daughters have to wait. "We did everything the right way and we are still waiting for them. I can understand why some people might want to do it the illegal way if they think it will be faster but it is dangerous. Waiting is hard but I know I will see my daughters again soon." Ms Maui and her husband made the heart-wrenching decision to leave the girls behind with her mother for their own safety when they fled to Malaysia. However, tragically, 12 months after they arrived, Ms Maui's husband was murdered and she lived for years under the threat of violence and in abject poverty in a Kuala Lumpur slum before being relocated to Perth as a refugee. "It has been very hard being away for such a long time from my family," she said. |

This is an excellent reason for us to increase the refugee intake from our own region

This is an excellent to discuss the farce and shambles about "There's no such thing as a queue or queue jumpers" |

Given the choice of seeing my family rot in a refugee camp for 5-10 yrs or getting on a boat and fleeing to Australia I would take option 2 every time.
If you have the means to get your family out of a deteriorating war zone and into a country where they have a future..you do it plain and simple. |

We are talking about the left continued insistence that there are no queues I have seen many times the Amnesty International reference about the "queue myth" Its easy for Amnesty to tell lies to suit their purpose. But for the victims of these queue jumpers - it is a very real thing. So why is Amnesty protecting the queue jumpers and not the victims? |

I see where in todays paper it tells us the cancellation of visas has doubled in the past year
does that mean we are getting tougher or more low lifes are creeping in?. |

The issue here is not "where" the queues are located. The issue here is Amnesty International is trying to dupe the rest of the world in believing there are no queues so they can further their cause. There are 2 groups here. The ones in the queue and the ones jumping the queue. Amnesty International is protecting the ones who are jumping the queue at the cost of those who are in the queue by trying to convince people the queue does not exist. As for "would I wait in one"? That's a different issue altogether. And the answer is no. |

It means Labor has allowed more lowlifes in by issuing them with VISAs and now has to cancel the VISAs |

It's interesting isn't it!!!
You've got a case worker for Amnesty International making who worked in Tanzania for 12 months all of a sudden becoming an expert of queue jumping. And Amnesty say it does not support the view - yet it publish it on its website!!! |

Precisely, what is Amnesty International's "purpose" - that they "tell lies" to pursue? |

Longest queue I wait in - is at Heathrow Terminal 4 these days. It's actually quicker being a foreigner I reckon. I now line up with Germans, French, Irish, Italians and Spaniards to show my passport to a bloke wearing a turban to get into my own country. Don't get me started on queues. |
