Economic growth is producing more for an increasing population (the population IS increasing, you know that, don't you?) and/or producing more for a stable population so they can have a better quality of life.

WHat did you think it was? ( I bet you thought it was a BAD THING).

Economic growth has absolutely nothing to do with that, it can but not exclusively and usually not at all.
