Title: Islamic terrorism statistics are misleading Post by freediver on Jun 27th, 2012 at 8:08pm
We often see statistics reported showing that Islamic terrorism in Europe represents only a tiny fraction of terrorist attacks. Like in this thread:
http://www.ozpolitic.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1340682283 I think this deliberately misrepresents the threat of Islamic terrorism by equating attacks like 9/11, the London bus bombings, Madrid, Bali etc with politically motivated attacks on infrastructure that do not kill anyone, or have a low death toll. It does this by representing the extent or magnitude of attacks from certain groups by the number of attacks rather than by the 'size' of the attacks. It hides the fact that compared to Muslims, even terrorists have standards and a sense of right and wrong, and that Islam itself must play a role in turning a political agenda into a justification for mass slaughter. |

"Islamic" countries are occupied by western forces. Westerners are stealing their resources and trying to control their lives. They are angry. As you would be.

You are more likely to be squashed to death by your own TV in the US than killed by in a politically motivated crime.
20,000 Americans are murdered each year in non-political violence. Where is the terror? Annual rate of politically-motivated homicides in Australia: 0 Annual rate of non-political homicides in Australia 2011: 260 Where is the terror? |

You are just an alarmist FD. Everyone knows [or they should know!!!] that statistics easily prove, that bees are more dangerous than moslems. Bee stings kill more people than jihadists Bee stings kill as many people in Britain as terrorist attacks do, according to a report by a Government watchdog..... http://www.jihadwatch.org/2012/06/will-you-relax-already-bee-stings-kill-more-people-than-jihadists.html See, its those bee's we should be worried about. |

The statistics have changed a bit since I last checked a few years ago. Homicides in the US have dropped down to 13,000 per year in 2010. Still quite a lot when you compare it to zero deaths from political-motivated violence. |

OK, that's two people killed by televisions. Do you need me to find three people killed by Islamic terrorists in the US, or do you admit to making up evidence again?
Or are you going to fall back on your argument that it was Jews or the CIA that were behind the Islamic terrorist attacks? |
