So much for prices are down at Coles :(

I run out of my Aldi's brand equivalent of All-bran so went down to Coles expecting to pick up the equivalent in size and price which is 525 grams for $2.99.

So where the bugger is it in Coles ?? Nowhere to be found !! Not even a home brand offering. What a fricken gimmick !! I had to pay 5 bucks for what normally cost me 3 at Aldis !! I didn't buy it of course.

Lets hope that Coles and Woolies will implode chasing each others prices down and Aldis will come out the winner ;) And Dick Smith can shut his face too. All to long these retailers have been gouging the consumer with their gimmicks and ripoffs :(

And as for their gimmicky shopper dockets and a measly 4 cents off per liter the day of reckoning will come when people switch over to electric cars or plugin hybrids :D LOL

I have a cold so need tissues.
The only boxes at coles were $2.50 each.
They had run out of all the normal  $1  boxes.

What a rip-off.

Prices are down on less then 1% of their stock.
People are idiots and deserve the monopoly they have created, I will laugh when it bites the Australian people in the ass.

whatever prices are down you can get the equivalent at Aldis and they know it too. People forget that it was Aldis that always offered cheaper milk and bread so Coles and Woolies jumped on the bandwagon and followed suit.

And the other good thing about Aldis is the prices are the same at every shop unless the good is specifically marked down.

I only go to Coles to get special items that the others don't have e.g.

Moccona decaf coffee -

you can drink as much as you want &
it won't keep you awake all night yet
it tastes perfect just like real coffee.

Yeah but Aldis didn't have a multimillion dollar advertising campaign about it including paying 'news' agencies to report on it like its actual 'news'.

Well I would rather drink mud then there coffee which without researching I know would contain high levels of dangerous ingredients and processing chemicals etc..

But you buy whole beans, grind them and roast them yourself if you want good coffee!

I can't drink real coffee - the caffeine doesn't agree with me.

I drink orange juice too - I love it.

besides Aldis & I go to one of them for most things.

yes but having one in your neighboorhood that offers a good deal like Aldis is pretty rare these days. Most of the independents are just as bad as 7/11 prices :(

Aldi's the  go. We pray to the Aldi god every week.
The price is right the quality is better. Their decaf is o.k.
I dont drink milk so I put orange juice on my muesli/cornflakes.
I buy the 2 litre bottle from Aldi, stick a teaspoon of epsom salts in it and you'll never get cramps again. I make my own muesli. Just chuck some instant oats into an icecream container, add sultanas and dates mix it up and presto!
All from Aldi of course. :)
