Title: Brough to run for PM like Newman did for Premier.

Now that Brough's pre-selection has been secured, when will the Coalition let us know that he is doing a Newman, and running for PM just like Newman did for Qld Premier? When will Tony's dream of being PM come to a shattering holt?

Well he is Abbot'ts boy now.   Most of the articles I have read today remain pretty sceptical of Mr Brough.    He has already been caught out lying at least once about involvement with Ahsby and has allegedly received information stolen from Slipper's diary.  Not a good start for him.   Whilst not a Liberal guy myself, just reading the personal statements from many of the contenders for preselection, there looked like quite a few were better and perhaps more worthy  than Brough

Quote:
Mal Brough has won Liberal National Party preselection for the Queensland seat of Fisher.

Fisher is currently held by Peter Slipper. Slipper left the LNP last year after accepting the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Brough previously represented the electorate of Longman but was defeated in the 2007 election.
Brough defeated five other candidates for the preselection, including the LNP’s former state director, James McGrath. Whilst former Prime Minister John Howard supported Brough, , McGrath was supported by Joe Hockey, Julie Bishop and Malcolm Turnbull.

If people want Howard back how come his government was voted out of office and he was voted out of his seat.

The second Prime Minister in Australia history that lost his seat in an election. All you d!ckheads keep saying that Whitlam was the worst Prime Minister in Australia history but he didn't lose his seat at an election.
