After the man sent Mr Slipper this material, the Speaker urged him to take the matter to police. Mr Slipper then took action himself, writing to Queensland Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson on June 26, and forwarding on the emails and Facebook messages. "Although the allegations that have come to light predate Mr Ashby's employment with my office, they raise issues of possible criminal conduct. In these circumstances, I cannot ignore the allegations," he wrote in his letter to Mr Atkinson. Under the Queensland Criminal Code, sex with minors is an offence punishable by up to 14 years in jail 8-), and 7.30 has confirmed the police are investigating the claim Mr Ashby had sex with underage boys, though it is not yet clear at all whether he will have a case to answer. Well not only the 'labor hack site' but media in general.  As we have seen in the past, the Liberals can't wait to get their slimy paws on the Government benches - they will do anything to get power.  But, as has happenned in the past (UTEGATE, Godwin Grech ) they drop it and run when it blows up in their face.    Same will happen with Slipper - this has a Liberal smear smell all over it and it is backfiring in the Lib's faces.    Mal has been telling anyone who will listen that he isn't involved yet he has already been caught out as a liar and reciving stolen property.    All we need is Turnbull, Hockey and Abetz to be in on it and the crew are back!

I would be so amazed if this Ashby is so stupid to bring a case against the speaker no less... when he would know they would be digging up everything as far back as his primary years..

and here he is with one of the worst smears or cases against his good name.. I believe it carries 14 year jail if found guilty????

he having dealt with pollies would know he would be exposed!!!
