Family's plea to save Emma Louise L'Aiguille from death row

video

THE mother of a Victorian woman facing the death penalty in Malaysia has begged for the mum of six's life to be spared.

In an exclusive interview with the Herald Sun, Amanda Innes said her daughter, Emma Louise L'Aiguille, had sent a heartbreaking message through consulate officials saying: "Mum, I'm sorry, I didn't do it."

Ms Innes made a passionate plea to Malaysian authorities and the Gillard Government to help save her girl's life.
"Please don't hang her. I just want the Government to do all they can. I just want her to be brought home  alive," she said yesterday from her home in Victoria's High Country.

#####

Her first mistake was ever leaving Australia and setting foot in Malaysia/Asia.

Mandatory death sentence in Malaysia if found guilty.
Meanwhile, our jails are 'full' of Malaysian criminals, not execution-homicided by us...as we abide by the UN Declaration of Human Rights.

The case comes as a Perth man, 32-year-old Dominic Jude Christopher Bird, faces charges of trafficking after his arrest in March for allegedly trying to sell 167 grams of methamphetamine.

If found guilty, Bird could also face the death penalty.

Three Australians have been executed for drug trafficking offences in Malaysia.

#####

Malaysia and Singapore both execution-hang our children...and we do nothing to them and their criminals here in return.
It's about time we started to!

If she was hanged here would it make a difference bambu?

You seem to agree with the death penalty.

Nah, just locking them in tin roof Gitmo style cages in the outback somewhere.
Nice breeze, view.

I'm against the death penalty execution-homicide death chambers...they belong back in Auschwitz.

I had more in mind the Gitmo cages and cancelling the free trade agreement with Malaysia.

Instead, we just do nothing.

Can you see Emma, and Dominic, being dragged from their cells kicking and screaming...to the gallows for extermination?

"I want my mum to come back to Australia. I don't want her to die," the boy said.

"I've been a bit sad. I don't really feel that good. I miss her a lot."
The heartbreaking plea from the boy comes as Ms L'Aiguille's devastated father spoke out, urging authorities: "Please don't hang my girl".

Wayne Walton, from Perth, spoke of his emotional torture yesterday and his fears that his daughter would suffer the same fate as Australian heroin mules Kevin Barlow and Brian Chambers, who were hanged in Malaysia in 1983.

#####

Yes, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Asia in general are good at execution-homiciding and emotionally torturing Aussies and their kids.

If your gonna deal in drugs in a country with the death penalty you only have yourself to blame.

That's true, too late to be sorry after you're caught, but I don't agree with the death penalty, so I hope they can be saved some how, by someone. I wouldn't hold my breath for anyone from our country coming to their rescue though.

Murder someone, you should get life in prison no parole ever.

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/sydney-news/victor-chang-assassin-chiew-seng-liew-returns-home-to-malaysia-after-being-freed-and-deported/story-e6freuzi-1226494738163

Victor Chang assassin Chiew Seng Liew returns home to Malaysia after being freed and deported

Footage broadcast on the Seven network today showed 69-year-old Liew arriving at an airport in Malaysia, wearing a dark hooded top that covered his head.

Liew has three adult children and will live with his wife and two sons.

He is now free to attend his daughter's wedding on October 20.

Dr Chang's son has said through their advocate that Liew's release has devastated his family.

Liew and his co-offender Phillip Choon Tee Lim were sentenced to maximum terms of 26 years and 24 years, respectively, for the murder.

#####

That's nice, Malaysian thug/killer will be attending his daughter's wedding, while our people are likely going to be dropped thru the gallows trapdoor in Malaysia, never to see their families again.

Cancel the free trade agreement!
Build a Gitmo style cage prison in the desert!

I have about as much time and tolerance for Malaysia as I have for Indonesia.

NONE WHATSOEVER.

Chasing imaginary ducks around the cell block last I heard.

The torch of freedom...and taking down from the cross of injustice.

Her uncle told the media the guards were tormenting her with "go...come...stay...sit...stand".

Gone crazy, has she.
Yudhoyono reduced her sentence by 5 years recently [to howls of outrage in Indonesia, oh the hatred of Aussies]...making her eligible for parole, which she's applied for.
Apparently they're never granted parole to an Aussie before...so the chances of her sitting on the beach anytime soon seem very remote.

Of course Yudhoyono, who is in the 'final' stages of his term as President, could make himself a hero...by releasing her on parole and taking Chan and Sukumaran off death row.

Tony Abbott will be meeting with SBY today in Indonesia.

oh come on, enough with the hysterics. I'll eat my hat if a pretty Australian girl ends up being executed by the Malaysian government - it just aint gonna happen. She will receive a long gaol sentence, then she will be released early by way of some prison swap deal.

Yeah, Muslim justice, so cuddly.

The yanks have death penalty for what they think are "serious" crimes and malaysia has it for what they consider "serious" crimes. Different ideas of what is serious. Dont go there if you dont like it. (Although that slogan isnt much good lately with the yanks - they want to just take ppl from other countries). Anyway the point is who is to say who is "right"? So they have different priorities than each other.

Pretty, ugly, handsome, charity worker all one's life, supported starving kids and adults in the third world...it matters not.
Death sentence is mandatory.
They've hanged 3 Aussies already..Barlow, Chambers and Michael McAuliffe in June 1993.

Dominic Bird is also on trial for his life...death sentence mandatory for him as well if convicted.

They'll drag Emma and Dominic from their cells to the gallows and hang them, in the blink of any eye.
"Defiance", "our laws", "our system", "our sovereign nation"...same as Singapore spouted when they execution-hanged Aussie Nguyen although begged not to by all and sundry, including the Pope...
...and Indonesia did when sentencing many of the Bali9 kids to death...execution-shredding awaiting Andrew Chan [now a Christian, "Onward Christian soldiers marching as to war"], and Myuran Sukumaran.

http://www.news.com.au/features/butt-out-on-death-penalty/story-e6frfl3i-1111114286388

'Butt out on death penalty'

THE judges hearing the Bali Nine trials have warned Australians not to interfere in Indonesia's right to impose capital punishment, insisting they would not allow their independence to be compromised.
They said today that any attempt to influence their handling of the heroin trafficking cases would yield the same result as in Singapore with the drugs case of executed man Van Tuong Nguyen: defiance.

Same thing in Malaysia, where its death sentence is mandatory.
Only a successful appeal for mercy to the King can save you from the gallows in Malaysia...and good luck with that.

Two can play the 'defiance' game!
Time Australia started playing the 'defiance' game, got itself an Oz-made steel spine and stood up to the rest of the world, instead of being a limp-wristed milk-sop.

Time to tell the Queen to boot Malaysia out of the Commonwealth, for starters.

Yeah, keep lobbying the governments of countries that still use the death penalty as punishment for crime. I used to do it through Amnesty International, with good results, but I do it autonomously now, same thing, they get the message. Every year more countries join the long list of those who have abandoned the death penalty, so eventually we might get there.
