Title: Labors orwellian project to restrict free speech
Post by stryder110011 on Jan 10th, 2013 at 10:01am
Well i find that in the heart and mind of every leftie or those who agree and empathise with the left, that THEY HAVE PROBLEMS AND ISSUES WITH FREEDOM AND FREE SPEECH SOME OF THE TIME, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY ARE ON THE RECIEVING END AND ON BACKFOOT LIKE THIS STUPID GILLIARD GOVERNMENT WITH THE ELECTORATE AND HOW THEY CAN RECONCILE THAT WITH THERE IDEA OF BIGGER GOVERNMENT AND ALL CONTROLLING GOVERNMENT WHO THEY BELIEVE SHOULD DICTATE TO PEOPLE HOW THEY SHOULD LIVE SOME OF THE TIME BUT ARE NOT CONTENT WITH JUST THAT, BUT MORE THAN THAT TELL THEM WHAT TO SAY AND WHAT NOT TO SAY, Boy does anyone find this draconian attitude by labor disturbing

When we give away a little free speech here or restrain a little free speech there, we are shaving off layers of free speech that allows us to call ourselves DEMOCRATIC,

Its quite bizarre, that Nicola Roxon would like to engage in this STUPID PIECE OF SOCIAL ENGINEERING WHICH BELONGS TO THE LONG DEAD SOVIET UNION,

Im watching the labor party carefully as they will engage in a dirty assasination campaign to demonise tony abbott, where i believe there hypocrisy over this will rise when they cant help themselves demonising abbott all the way to the day of the election this year.

I suggest to everyone do the same

Yeah there is no difference between labour and liberal on that issue - except maybe who exactly needs to be shut up.

Last time I checked, it is labor pushing and pursuing this idiotic piece of social engineering under nicola roxon, not the liberals, borg brain

Only the Labor party would contemplate such an attack on free speech stryder.
Correction: the Greens would too.
It is not surprising though, as many of Labor's current leading lights, like Roxon, have their thought processes rooted in socialist and soviet mentality.
I wouldn't worry too much though: (a) there are now implied common law rights in the interpretation of the constitution which would see anything too outrageous thrown out and (b) they won't be around long enough to do any damage.

Hadrian now

Of course hadrian, those lefties and those who lean on labor or the greens believe in bigger government on everything, not just only when its neccesary, BUT ALSO SOME HAVE COMFORT IN THOSE BIGGER GOVERNMENTS TELLING PEOPLE ON HOW THEY SHOULD LIVE OR THINK AND SOME LEFTIES SEE FREE SPEECH AS A DRAWBACK OR RESTRICTION TO THE IDEA OF A BIGGER GOVERNMENT FOR ALL

screams from the left.. yet no one from the left seem horrified by this.... until the Liberal govt gags the media I guess.

The Bill was introduced on 3 November and passed into law on 6 December 2005 after government amendments adding some protection for the reporting of news and matters of public interest were introduced in response to community pressure. The changed laws are to be reviewed in 2006.

What i am saying, is that if nicola roxon wants to limit free speech, that will also be imposed on themselves too cods, And we know how vicious labor can be against abbott, I mean some of the things labor have said about abbott in the past can border on offensive, THAT WOULD BE IN BREACH OF ROXONS LIMITING FREE SPEECH LAWS IF IT WAS PASSED LONG AGO

The hard right are not really anti big Government or anti welfare...when they talk about shrinking the size of Government and welfare...they really mean they want to victimize the poor and kick them in the guts so they can taker their share...every major crime against humanity has  been a crime against the poor and the right in both parties are the purveyors of death to the marginalized and the poor... :)

I am documenting every threat made to the security, safety and welfare of the poor, the marginalized and the pacifists by public figures...

I WAS, yes. For many years.

But that was before this shower got their hands on the reins of power.

They didn't get my vote last election, and they've done nothing to make that change.

Their obsession with micro-managing everyone's lives with legislation totally sickens me.

That is good. One of many reasons, but probably the most important reason of all. Forget the debt. Forget the policies on the run. Forget the well intensioned that always make you pay big time through incompetence.

You want to control every aspect of our lives, then you are going to have to sit in the corner with no freinds until you figure out it is the wrong thing to do.

I am monitoring closely all public figures and collecting evidence for hate crimes and attempting to punish the poor for economic problems not of their doing...just so you know you are being watched if you are in a public position and have evil designs on the poor and marginalized...You will be held accountable for what you say and do. :)
