Contrary to newspaper reports of a 17 year hiatus in global warming, glaciers continue to shrink at a rapid rate. Well the scientist's aren't really flummoxed, they're not muppets easily fooled by statistical irrelevancies manufactured by cherry picking the right data. They know ther earth is warming and the planet is behaving in an entirely predictable manner.

It is understandable that someone in Australia may not realise this, but decreasing temperature does not always mean more snow. In many places of the world you get more snow when it is warmer.

No, I don't think you have got it now.. 

Warming causes more precipitation.  Warming causes more snow.

And global warming causes climate change.  Not all climates will necessarily get warmer.
