Title: Gillard's week!
Post by damien on Feb 8th, 2013 at 6:53pm
Gillard's weak week!

In the space of just a week:

Julia Gillard and Labor confirmed that the budget is in deficit, despite previously promising and guaranteeing a surplus on over 650 occasions
Labor also refused to rule out further tax hikes on superannuation
It was revealed at the ICAC inquiry in NSW that Ministers Conroy and Burke had accepted free hospitality from Eddie Obeid
Senator Trish Crossin had demanded a board or ambassadorial appointment following her dumping by the Prime Minister
Craig Thomson appeared before court in Melbourne to be formally charged with 154 fraud offences
The Prime Minister accused some of her own MPs of undermining the Government
Kevin Rudd’s backers in Caucus continued to agitate for change in the Labor leadership

And to cap the week off, Wayne Swan announced quietly this afternoon (08/02/2013) that the mining tax has only raised about 10% of what it was supposed to raise!

It all depends on what section/part of the media one gets their info.
Craig Thompson has been charged on 200, 249, 250, etc charges.

Just as when the media reports the age of someone sometimes, it can be reported with a 10 year difference.
:D :D

Just to make you happy - it was 500 times.

Now, does that make you or anyone else feel any better that once again she has lied, lied, lied??

I notice that you didn't query the statement - just the number.

Just like an alp stalwart!!

So, what is the time frame for the next promise of returning to a surplus?
