My bet is it'll be on tonight.  She must call the spill to show she has numbers.  If she holds out I'd suggest she's done for.

OMG it cant come soon enough gillard. Good F riddens, but dam it would have been nice to kick your arse to the curb at an election.

Now you can just watch the election from home and see how much you have destroyed labor.

Actually I am not confident now. Good, I want to kick gillards arse at an election.

Crean looks like a man standing alone, hoping in hell others will follow his lead.

Crean will be gone soon.

Seems like that hey.

Said it isn't a Rudd/Crean ticket.

Looking for a fresh start.

Says up to caucus and individuals to act.

Nah cream would have quite a bit of individual support and running a deputy would probably be to shore up any strugglers.  It's done.

Crean actually acts like an adult. i give him full points for that.

The sooner this happens the better, don't care for Labor at all, but we need good people from both sides and good oppositions to keep good governments in line.

If you think about it, it's not the worst move.  Crean was the worst on Rudd 12 months ago. They can portray that if he can work with him, the rest should have no problems.  Happy family once more.

Obvious bullcrap, but then the marginals where it counts could very well swing slightly back and enough to at leat salvage something for labor.

Plus, I'd say there is a greater plan on its way.  At Least, for interests sake I hope so.

Tony has nothin to do with the labor party making bad decisions themselves. Tony could've beena chipmunk and the result would've been the same, if not better for the libs.

But any party who has a policy to NOT have any policies is not a good opposition and I'm astounded you wouldn't agree.

what are you talking about? Turnbull was leader during a time of Rudd still make very few mistakes.  It was Rudds poor listening skills to Gillard and Swan that caused him to make a crap decision with the ETS and THEN things went down hill for him.  Thanks to Gillard and Swan. Nothing to do with dumb Tony who is still hated within the electorate, just a little bit less so than gillard.

I know you libs must be devastated that Gillard has time and time again refused to buckle to the incessant campaign of smeer against her. I think gillard will put on a bit of a show. Use the woman in distress thing, just like the victim woman against a strong man that she so man hateingly has done.

Wonder if fiesty comes out swinging lol....hopefully this shamefully inept govt is finally coming to a halt.

She looks so stuck up, red eyed (waaaa) and actually rude.

Looks pretty brave and holding her nerve well IMO.

she's saying quite a lot of right things.  Too bad she just can't sell when it's crunch time. :(

rude: reads strong and authoritative.

I know you libs must be devastated that Gillard has time and time again refused to buckle to the incessant campaign of smeer against her. She was supposed to last less than 12 months after the 2010 election remember? Craig Thomson, Peter Slipper, carbon tax, every time it was supposed to be the final nail. And yet here she is - still standing.

like hitler was standing midst the rubble of his country. GREAT comparison!

I watched V for Vendetta the other night. Timely. The governemnt in the movie.....Gillard/labor.

It would seem she suffers from he same issues as Rudd – wanting to do it her way, lack of communication/involvement/consultation with other members etc.

As you mentioned, failure to sell the policies.

Forgot that the Deputy P.M. position will be declared vacant too...If Gillard and Swan go together, that will be all too much good news in one day.

I don't think I could cope with all that good news in one go.

only if it is wrong. Gillard seems quite happy to take labor to an anihilation as long as she gets to stay as leader. That is very hitlereaque...  An dictators do have a habit of executing messengers with bad news or those who question their decisions. So I will stay with 'dictator' being VERY appropriate as well

if Rudd wins, both of them will be on the backbench, Crean could end up as treasurer - a job he has been in before.

do you have any quotes alevine?

from ABC:

Quote:
Ms Gillard moved after party elder Simon Crean called for the leadership to be thrown open, and demanded Kevin Rudd stand against Ms Gillard.

"I don't want any more games, I'm sick to death of it, it's about time he stood up and instead of having his camp leak things, actually have the courage of his conviction and his belief," Mr Crean said.

doesn't sound like support to me.

Well no.

He came put a said he no longer supports Gillard and the ALP needs to change the way it is run. That they had lost the support of the voters. That Rudd had to stand up now or never. It’s all a bit more complex than just saying he supports Rudd.

Crean has more experience and integrity, and is undoubledly more
honest than just about anyone else in the Labor party.

And certainly more so than anyone in the Con-alition.

For this woman to sack him is stupidity personified.

Now you are just being silly. Sure he has more integrity than most of labor put together, but dont go too far with that comparing him to another party.
