Title: Matty will not challenge Mr Abbott Post by Karnal on Mar 23rd, 2013 at 3:00pm
Matty confirmed his support for Mr Abbott on Alan’s show yesterday in no uncertain terms.
"I stand behind Mr Abbott to lead the Liberals at the next election. My support is unconditional. I support Mr Abbott 100%". Matty was responding to rumours in the Liberal Party that he might stand for Liberal preselection, only to challenge Mr Abbott at the last minute. Matty has previously said that his return to politics would be thunderous. "By thunderous, I mean taking the fight to the most incompetant government in Australia’s history. I believe Mr Abbott is the right man to lead the Liberal Party, and will be the next Prime Minister of Australia." Thoughts? |

This is indeed very sad news. Matty is twice the man Abbott is. |

I agree completely. Moderators, ban that awful leftard. He has clearly violated the rules and abused us all.
I want him gone, thanks. |

True, Skippy. Mind you, his abusive posts are nonsensical. Biscuits? I always enjoy a nice biscuit - who doesn’t?
I would appreciate a broader cross-section of thoughts, thanks. The board’s matriarch, Cods, must have an opinion on this news. There is no need to be shy, dear. We all welcome your opinions. Should the hideous leftard above be banned for good? I’d ban him for life. Thoughts? |

I haven't seen cods for a while? Maybe she's busy counting the numbers for Matty? Let's hope so! |

We speak English in this country, thanks. You people refuse to assimilate.
These leftards will let anyone in. I think a change of government is in order. Cods, dear, do you think Matty will stick by his statement? Something about it smells a bit fishy to me. It reads as if it was written by his advisors. |

I agree. I think she said she was working on his campaign. Won’t be long now, leftards. Bye bye, JuLiar! I’d make Cods Chief of Staff. Do you type, dear? |

I don't think she does, but I am sure she can whip up a great cup of tea. |

Yes, matty should remember though that HE is the true inspiration to us all, and he doesn't need any advisors! If this is the work of advisors, then I'd be sacking them straight away as they are definitely pushing matty down the wrong path. I bet some leftards have gotten themselves into the ranks and are the cause of this. A full investigation should take place and these leftards must be weeded out immediately! |

Title: Re: Matty will not challenge Mr Abbott Post by Karnal on Mar 23rd, 2013 at 5:12pm
I should hope so. How hard is that? Put a teabag in a cup and pour hot water over it.
Poor Matty can’t make tea to save his life. He needs Cods. I’ll send the offer in the post, dear. It won’t be on Liberal Party stationary - yet. |

Hang on, that might be going a bit far. I’m sure Matty’s advisors are acting with the best of intentions. Look at David Oldfield. He worked for Pauline. He has his own radio show now. Matty listens to it religiously. |

Not bad, but can we change the wording a bit? Let’s make it read: we mobilized for prosperity, now let’s mobilize for war. I think that has a much nicer ring to it. |

We'll only invade more countries if Abbott's popularity begins to fade and that's never likely to happen. |
Title: Re: Matty will not challenge Mr Abbott Post by Karnal on Mar 23rd, 2013 at 7:11pm
The leftards forget that Mr Abbott will have the Murdoch and Reinhart Fairfax press behind him each step of the way. The only real challenge to Mr Abbott will come from within his own party.
This is what terrifies matrons like Cods so much, keeping them awake at night even after they’ve taken their Valium. Mr Abbott’s staff will work hard to provide the boring, predictable government the dears want. Mr Abbott will try hard to not shoot himself in the foot, but he does have that punchdrunk instinct to shoot off his mouth. Mr Abbott, you see, finds it hard to restrain himself. Matty would never do this. |

Title: Re: Matty will not challenge Mr Abbott Post by Karnal on Mar 24th, 2013 at 7:59pm
He’s biding his time, Alevine. Matty knows he just needs to wait.
Quite easy, really. Dunedin has some nice rough trade. Shearers, fishermen, that sort of thing. Canberra just has Mr Abbott cycling around in his lycra - most offputting. |

Meanwhile that dark horse, the Drover's Dog (who points out that being both equine and canine is a significant achievement in itself) will definitely challenge both Abbott and Gillard.
He reckons Gillard's fleshy rear protuberances are impossible to resist and if Abbott appears again in his budgie smugglers he'll end up singing soprano in the Liberal Children's Choir. |

Karnal, if cods counting is to be believed, and I would hope so, then Matty has the numbers! He must have chrisopher Pyne come out and request Abbott for a spill immediately. |
