Title: Labor: from bad to worse!!!
Post by Armchair_Politician on Mar 26th, 2013 at 5:45am
Labor just goes from bad to worse, lol. Gillard's disfunctional, incompetent government and her own popularity have plunged to record-lows according to Newspoll. No wonder no one challenged her. Who would want to be PM for just six months prior to Labor being anhilated???  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Primary vote:
Coalition - 50pts (up 6)
Labor - 30pts (down 4)

Two party preferred:
Coalition - 58pts
Labor - 42pts
(If this happens, Labor lose 30 seats including atleast 5 Ministers)

Preferred PM:
Abbott - 43pts (up 5)
Gillard - 35 (down 7)

There are valid reasons why someone should have stepped up to the plate last week, but that would have meant putting the Party and the Australian people ahead of personal career and power aspirations, a notion which is clearly extinct in the ALP.

Yep. Whoever had beaten Gillard (if someone did stand and win) would have had the job of minimising the damage, not winning the next election. For the ALP, winning the next election is about as likely as me winnining the Lotto. More chance of me meeting the Queen of England than that happening!

Thank you for these figures--

Even 2GB didn't spell out Gillard's score of 35pts.

How does she manage to get out of bed these mornings?

quite right old stick. I mean its not as if achieving the ultimate ambition of becoming Prime Minister of Australia is a great achievement in itself. Clearly she is as pathetic as some old loser with nothing better to do than spew vitriol all day every day on the internet.

Julia Gillard should do the honourable thing and just resign. Like Jeff Kennett said in a video I saw recently (was it  on that Sunrise program?), she's installing younger, inexperienced ministers in her Cabinet. If the outgoing Cabinet made numerous blunders under her, how many mistakes and blunders will these new ministers make? There is little chance of this young, inexperienced Cabinet turning things around for Gillard in six months when the older ministers couldn't do it for her in 2.5 years.

Good luck Julia if you want to keep going, but few people are asking you to continue. You don't have to prove anything to us anymore.

If Julia resigns, Kevin may be able to step back into the leadership position. That's if it happens.

MOTR started a thread hoping that this latest poll wouldn't see the light of day. Ooooops!

Julia's hairstyle is striking, I like her necklace of pearls and her dress is sometimes smart.

I'll tell you a secret, it is not her appearance that I criticise, nor her gender, it's her policies that stink!

Anyone who can do that to a country deserves ultimate punishment.

I'm not surprised, you always struck me as someone that would enjoy a pearl necklace. ::)

And anyone who votes for her is nearly as bad and also needs punishment.

Julia's policies don't worry me but they'll make life difficult for my grandchildren and great grandchildren.

These will have to go without to pay for Gillard 's years of squandering.

I won't be voting for either 'big' fake party (which in fact is one large stinking boil, owned by those who dare us to speak their names)

No-one I know will be voting for Abbott or Gillard

No one in my immediate and extended family will be voting for Abbott or Gillard or the joke, fake 'two party' system of crooks to which they belong

None of those with whom we're associated will be voting for them

Very few ... very, very few of our colleagues will waste their votes on them

Australia is cursed with political whores and scum

Too complacent, Aussies.  You've been just too complacent for too damn long.  And look now at what we have before us

If anyone believes Gillard and Abbott and their respective crews aren't all the best of mates, paid to destroy this land and you and yours -- then they don't deserve to vote

Gillard emphatically declared in parliament during QT that she would win the next election. Judging by this latest poll, I'd say hell might actually freeze over before Labor wins another election...

There have been 28 polls since Gillard won the election

Gillard blames this 28th poll on the leadership challenge

How does she explain the other 27 polls?

She also blamed Abbott for being "in the way" over her Malaysia plan but made no mention of her bed-friends the lunatic Greens voting against it or the Federal Court ruling it illegal...

Labor created the problem

Then allocate 100% blame of the problem because Abbott won't vote for a law that violate human rights

We don't have Statemen any longer.  We have rough-necks

A recent thread has forced me to look under the skirts of both

and what I've discovered is that unlikely as it might seem, Gillard towers above Abbott when it comes to credibility and the human face

Abbott is a waxworks exhibit.  Wouldn't be so bad, but there's a lot of empty space inside his skull

WHY is Abbott in politics?  Anyone know?  It's obviously not because he gives a poo about any of the things you or I might worry about

What the hell is he supposed to stand for ?  What ?

It's like listening to cardboard speaking

They need to get rid of him

SO EASY

to pick those posting for shekels

For example, your supposed 'response' to my post

was entirely inappropriate.  It makes NO sense at all

Obviously another 'witticism' plagiarised from the back of your tired old cornflakes packet

Now come on ---- try to adapt your plagiarisms to the topic in hand

or no more shekels for you   ::)

I agree with you. I'd like her to wear more softer pastels; a nice lemon shade perhaps or a lovely soft lilac or even a mint green colour. She should wear more sheer fabrics and perhaps a see-through top with no bra. On days when she feels feisty why not an animal print jump suit. I'm starting to get excited so I'll stop.
