Title: Why no policy details?
Post by adelcrow on Mar 29th, 2013 at 8:48am
Is Abbott not releasing any policy details simply because he's afraid Gillard will steal them like she stole his excellent idea for a simple tax on carbon?

She took that hook line and sinker when it wasnt even policy.

Next time realise Abbott is only fishing when it isnt a policy statement.

He may get gillard again. Learn.

Why would the party of mud throwing have a need for policies?

AS Bishop said in the party room "When your opponents are arguing and fighting among themselves, you dont interrupt".

Its good politics to let labor destroy themselves. there is plenty of time to release policy in time for the actual election.

While I was doing my usual weekend 200 km ride through the Adelaide Hills early this morning I wondered if Tony came up with his excellent idea of a simple carbon tax while he was peddling away on one of his morning rides.
If so I can understand why he was so upset when Julia pinched the idea and he had to turn on a penny and trash his own well thought out baby.
Cycling is a good way to get the old grey matter working so it must have cut Tony deeply when Julia stole his idea of a simple tax on carbon.

Yep she put a tax at the bowser and a tax in your electricity bill etc - no wait a minute - she didn't did she???? In fact you actually don't pay any carbon tax at all - do you - none zero nothing???

About as far away from the Abbott real carbon tax as you could get.

His promises so far add up to a massive fiscal deficit, even after he raids the super funds of the poorest workers.

It's a bit like voting on a beauty contest while one of the contestants still has a paper bag over his head. Take the paper bag off and things are going to get ugly, real quick.

A lot of the male population would just turn her around and be as happy as ever.

when your opponent is the elephant man (or woman) then you still win even with the paper bag over your head. I dont think you realize just how despised Gillard is out there in voter land.

you mean like the 9.4% increase in power bills for the carbon tax but which gillard specifically passed legislation to NOT detail it like we do with the GST?

and you DONT pay GST. the retailer/business pays the GST. you are actually under no obligationn whatsoever to pay GST yourself and in fact, cannot do so. the business pays the GST on money collected in part from you a bit like how AGL pays carbon tax from money it has collected from you.

Until Labor's most recent spat Gillard has consistently out polled Abbott as preferred PM.

he has been in front of her several times in the past so that explanation doesnt work. PLUS the PPM figure has long been derided as the most pointless measure since it frequently trends in the opposite direction to voting intentions.

give it up. Gillard is the bubonic plague of politicians.
