Title: A secondhand funeral song for Diana Post by olde.sault on Apr 9th, 2013 at 8:11am I was not a fan of Monroe or the Princess but wasn't that impressed by "Candle in the Wind" being played at Diana's funeral. Maybe there is something wrong with my thinking. . .? Sorry about introducing an old topic but I woke up with this thought. |

MM was an extremely talented actress with a very sad childhood. When discovered by Hollywood she was typecast as the dumb, sexy blonde and never got enough serious roles to demonstrate her acting ability.
That toffee-nosed ponce Olivier belittled her when they worked together in the Prince and the Showgirl, and she never really recovered. |

Yes, much safer if olde.sault leaves the thinking to others. |

you say she was 'extremely talented' based on the fact she was never given any roles to demonstrate it?? and then when one of the bext actors of the century said she was no good, you discredit it? I dont know (or care) if she was 'extrenely talented' or not. I just see that you did nothing but express an opinion without evidence, |

Two 'sluts' if ever there were.
Marilyn (actually a Ranga - but you get what you deserve if you are gonna fake it to make it) got around with everyone and anyone who was famous, right up to that sex-addicted little turdd J.F.K who probably got shot by some peeved off husband. As for Diana? Well she had every chance to say NO right from the start but she played the submissive lil' concubine and then threw a wobbly 'after' the marriage. Sounds like Gold-Digger to me. Smiled and played shy for the cameras - foul mouthed and tarty off the cameras. Typical out-dated British Royalty. Not because Royalty is out-dated, but because they just can't relate to the FUTURE of Europe and are still stuck in the past. Most of Europe is moving towards Medicine as its main Industry, but there is William in his old Military pompousity. |

...and you stick to your anti psychotic pills Freedman. Maybe double the dose as you are still a lunatic. |

Personally I love the Danish Royalty. Show more spunk, more family stability, more awareness of Europe as a whole and don't crawl to the USA Media in a need to feel accepted as a 'People's Choice Award'.

Aren't you the man who left his wife and child for another woman? And your sordid little affair played out in a bird hide? Classy. Diana's situation was unenviable at best - you should have more compassion. She was hardly a slut and by defining her as such, you prove yourself to be a hypocrite. Glass houses and all that. |

I stand corrected. You are absolutely right Annie.
I seemed to have ...forgotten. :( |

Annie, Dianna may not have been a slut but she was hardly an angel. A tart would be a better word. People in the media know a hell of a lot more than they print or broadcast. Remember Cheryl Kernot and Gareth Evans, common knowledge in the media along with Bob Hawke and Blanche but never published. Yes Annie, Dianna was a tart. |

When compared to the behaviour of her whorebag husband and his dog-faced lover, I think Diana conducted herself admirably. |

I Loved MM still do.. I liked her films thought she was better than anyone really gave her credit for.. as for Olivier it was her time keeping that drove him mad...she had problems many of them but she was gorgeous and still she is adored... I have always felt these ICON.. Diana Marilyn Elvis.. had to die young.. as they would never have coped with aging in this world of ours... |
