Well, it certainly would bring doing the price of oil on the stock market, and it may give us the belief that petrol prices will follow a downward path. But, petrol stations wouldn't pass on any reduction in price, and continue with the mantra that we are running out of oil.

However, in reality, China will run in to a bit of trouble producing all those cheap goods that we go about importing to keep our value for money ideals in check. If you want to start a bit of a economic recession, stop exporting oil to China. Meanwhile, I think we are in plans to export some of that massive oil reserves we have recently found to places like China.
