Title: Conservatives R Revolting
Post by Greens_Win on May 21st, 2013 at 6:58pm
Voters think the Tories are divided, according to a poll
Only one in 10 voters thinks the Conservative Party is united, according to a poll.

With David Cameron facing major divisions in his party over Europe, gay marriage and the disclosure that one of his senior allies had referred to Tory activists as “swivel-eyed loons”, a survey by pollsters YouGov has found that 73 per cent of voters see the Conservative Party as divided.

Conservative activists have already begun defecting to the UK Independence Party in protest at the Tory leadership’s “arrogant and insulting” attitude towards grassroots members.

Local Conservative party campaigners, including the chairman of one constituency association, will this week pledge their support for Nigel Farage after one of David Cameron’s allies described grassroots Tories as “mad, swivel-eyed loons”.

Cameron's view on Europe and gay marriage has currently cost him my vote.

I am quite open about that.

I would vote UKIP or not vote at all right now.
