Title: Robin Williams anyone? Post by cods on May 22nd, 2013 at 2:37pm This is indeed the ultimate plan! It could work! YOU HAVE TO LOVE HIM...A MUST READ... HE MADE THIS SPEECH IN NEW YORK . The Plan! ? Robin Williams, wearing a shirt that says 'I love New York ' in Arabic. You gotta love Robin Williams........Even if he's nuts! Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan. What we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message. Robin Williams' plan...(Hard to argue with this logic!) 'I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan.' 1) 'The US, UK , CANADA , New Zealand and AUSTRALIA will apologize to the world for our 'interference' in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those 'good 'ole' boys', we will never 'interfere' again. 2) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany , South Korea , the Middle East , and the Philippines . They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence. 3) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are from. They're illegal!!! France will welcome them. 4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers. 5) No foreign 'students' over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a 'D' and it's back home baby. 6) The US, UK , CANADA , New Zealand and AUSTRALIA will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while 7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.) 8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not 'interfere.' They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything. 9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens. 10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us 'Ugly Americans' any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH..learn it..or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan? 'The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'you want a piece of me?' ' If you agree with the above, forward it to friends...If not, I would be amazed if you DELETED it!! |
Title: Re: Robin Williams anyone? Post by greggerypeccary on May 22nd, 2013 at 3:17pm You know this isn't real, don't you? It's just another viral email. Been around for years. |

Robin Williams didn't say what's in the OP. It's just a viral email/hoax. It's been around for about 10 years. Welcome to the internet. |

If it's been around for 10 years, one would think that it's beginning to echo some public sentiment.
Sounds like a plan to me! 8-) |

In this thread we find out cods doesn't know how to fact check at all. Robin Williams had nothing to do with this other than the original author using a quote of Williams.

I find it amazing that people still get sucked in by these hoax emails, and then spread them like a virus by filling up everyone's inbox. They see the line that tells them "If you agree with the above, forward it to friends" and think it's their duty to do just that. When people start sending me crap like this, I block them from my email account. http://www.hoax-slayer.com/ |

Someone who listens to Alan Jones and Ray Hadley, and watches Andrew Bolt, will believe anything.

Title: Re: Robin Williams anyone? Post by Chard on May 28th, 2013 at 7:46am
Just because this list is dumb, time for a point by point deconstruction of just how dumb this email really is.
Quote:
Whoever wrote this doesn't know their history worth a damn. what the hell did Canada, New Zealand and Australia have to with any of the dictators mentioned? I can understand laying some of the blame for Hitler and Mussolini on the US and UK because of our part in writting the terms of the Treaty of Versailles, but that ignores the even bigger role the French played in that. Even better, the author is trying to blame Stalin on the west? How the f*ck does that work? Quote:
This one makes me giggle. Germany and South Korea both have majorities supporting the US being there (mostly because of the sheer amount of money involved with hosting US military bases). The US left the Philippines when asked, with the last forces leaving Subic Bay in 1992. I'll grant the middle east (I can only assume this means Iraq and Afghanistan), but the rest is a load of bullshit. If Germany, South Korea, Japan or any of the number of nations we have permanent basing rights in didn't want us there all they have to do is ask us to leave and we will. Quote:
And where will we get replacements for the cheap labor pool those illegals provide? That cheap labor is a linchpin of the US economy. Also, the French aren't very friendly to immigrants, legal or otherwise. Seriously can tell whoever wrote this is completely unaware of any information about France that didn't come from movies and TV. Quote:
So let's ruin our tourism industries, piss off a lot of nations we do business with (this guy's idea would effectively block all contact with OPEC, btw), and act like racist twats... How on earth is this even remotely a good idea? Quote:
So no foriegn post-grad students at all. Let's cripple the advancement of science and math for an illusion of safety based on an ignorant stereotype! Great plan. ::) Quote:
The US is already largely self-sufficient for energy. What POL or gas we import is used to offset domestic production required to keep our strategic reserves topped off and leaves us with a large amount of reserves we can save for when everyone else runs out. In any case, if people would actually learn about nuclear power we could cut our oil consumption by 70-80% by massively expanding our nuclear power industry. Quote:
Yeah, they will find buyers. You can really tell this list predates the rise of CHina as an economic superpower. Goddamn 5500 limit... |
Title: Re: Robin Williams anyone? Post by Chard on May 28th, 2013 at 7:53am Quote:
Seriously? I wonder if this guy thinks the same of homeless people and the poor in general. Yes, let's be selfish assholes when we have the ability to help, because f*ck those christian values so many in the west seem to believe in. After all, Jesus did say "The Selfish Dicks shall inherit the Earth".. ::) Quote:
Never mind the amount of prestige and influence having the UN headquartered in the US grants us. Or that we don't own the land or the buildings the US is headquartered in (we donated that to the UN). Quote:
What the f*ck does charm and beauty schooling have to do with being "ugly Americans"? The entire Ugly American stereotype is based on us being the most culturally clueless nation on the planet and our tendency to inadvertantly offend everyone we meet. Also loving how the author thinks being monolinguistic would do anything other than reinforce the stereotype. |
