No. Unscripted Tony isn't allowed out.

Was about to post a similar thread.  Thought Rudd was fairly good on the show - very comfortable and explained well. Also put his talking points quite well.
Tony won't front up.  But it doesn't matter because as Mirabella has said, he's done Q&A 7 times. So that's all that matters.

Interesting point too - why do we need an election to see leaders of the parties debate?   DEBATE! Let's set the records straight. Who knows, Tony's not an awful debater and he may come out on top.

Tony has been media shy for six days, coincides with Rudds return, funny about that. I actually believe he is being advised to stay as far away from the camera and microphone as he can now that Gillard is gone.

They should just send on him a trip around the world similar to his Indonesia trip; just stay in a hotel and say nothing at all to anyone.

I don't think he knows what to say. He seems ill at ease. I honestly think he's in shock. The conga Line have said for months, years in fact, that Kevvy would never return, yet here he is. I'm still in a bit of shock myself.

True.  The only thing now is for rudd to actually put together workable policies .  But that is a big ask from them to do within the next 3 months as a maximum.   Problem is, Labor is still in such a state that if Rudd doesnt produce something good, Tony can go on his round the world trip, stay quiet, and he'll still win.

Tony never did tell us the context, did he.

I wonder what the context was when he said Whyalla would be wiped off the map?
Or when he said:

I think it would be folly to expect that women will ever dominate or even approach equal representation in a large number of areas simply because their aptitudes, abilities and interests are different for physiological reasons’

Must be a hell of a context to that one, hey Tony?

Tony is such a fool.
What a pity they didn't put Turnbull there.

Yes I wonder what other arrangement tony has for tonight.  Aside from pulling on his little tony, of course.

Longy has a Tony Abbott teddy bear that he sleeps with every night.

Reminds me of Mr Bean.   ;D

There will be less votes lost with " I'm unavailable"

than

"I went and made a complete r's of myself"

He did.....tonight, and did pretty well.  Buggered if I know why he is so sh1t scared of the ABC, and a debate with Rudd.

Because the ALPBC is well known for its ALP bias. Abbott doesn't need to answer the call of the underdog. The more Kev talks, the more everyone sees through his sham TV persona.

Will Tony front up?

No he won't and he shouldn't - he has everything to lose and nothing to gain.

Rudd should not have offered in a month Abbott will be begging for the opportunity.

Rudd should treat Abbott like something that should be flushed.

Tony should stick to his guns and not be goaded into saying anything .... let Kevni make an idiot of his big noting self at every opportunity. The Public will get sick of seeing his pudgy face on the box soon enough!  Did you see the pictures of "Pope Paul" (Keating) in the red shoes?  Geeze. Kevni has taken to waving at the imaginary crowds, like he's the Queen.  :D

If Tony Abbott takes power he will take the opportunity to go on a deregulation crusade for the same organized criminals who created the GFC abolishing the rule of law and order and Government oversight...The consequences of allowing this insanity to continue will be horrific.... 8-)

I had a choice between Tony Abbott and Hercule Poirot.

The dapper little Belgian detective won. At least he has title grey cells.
